I have taken over as manager of Blackpool and hope for an instant return to the Premiership. The chairman has given me a budget of £2.24m in which I have already spent some. Once in the Premiership I will attempt to be a mid-table team and push for a top 10 place then hopefully a Europa League place. During my first season at Blackpool I will also try for a good cup run both in FA and Carling Cup to help with finances and prove to the chairman that I'm the right man for the job.

I have also offered a contract to Geremi who has had offers from other clubs. I'm also negotiating a deal to bring in Billy Paynter. I will also try and beef up my defence a bit as I feel its quite weak and will loan in a PL defender whether its a left back, cb or right back. I think I have too many strikers so may loan out a couple.
Is there any players here who I should sell on a permanent basis or on a loan deal? looking to get just 1 or 2 players off the wage bill. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know
TRANSFER UPDATE
I am absolutely delighted with the signing of Geremi. He was linked with a number of French clubs including AJ Auxerre and one Italian club which was Sampdoria so I'm glad I beat them to the signing of Geremi. I have solved my cb and lb problem with the signing of Nathan Baker from Aston Villa who can play in them positions. I also signed Kayleden Brown from West Brom on a permanent basis as cover for Thomas Ince. I bought in a few other players just really for backup. That will be my signings for now until I get rid of a few in January so I can buy a goalkeeper.

Oh and I just bought Rivaldo right now and he'll definitely be my last signing for this transfer window
You have a lot of strikers. Championship you only need 4 but apart from that the squad looks decent and should be reaching 3rd-8th mark based on the team that i see. Automatic would be hard as i dont think your midfield is strong enough to maintain the consitent levels you need for top 2 finish. But its a good side and one that would be strong at home especially so you should get a fair few wins. I reckon you will come 5th hopefully there are some constructive things there for you.
Over the moon with my results. We have performed well in every game bar Millwall who are tough to beat. I was kind of disappointed that we only won on penalties to Leyton Orient as we should have beaten them comfortably. My loan signing Connor Clifford has been fantastic in midfield and scored some cracking goals. Ian Evatt amazingly is my TOP SCORER WITH 5 GOALS.
I was glad that we had a home game to kick off the season and what a fantastic result and a superb performance definitely by Ian Evatt who scored a hat-trick would you believe. Unfortunately my loanee Mitrovic was injured 3 minutes into his debut and was out for a few months but is now back fit.
A comfortable home win against Bury. Matt Phillips was outstanding on the wing with his blistering pace and his creativity. Nothing much to say other than another great performance and progressed into the 2nd round where I'd play Leyton Orient.
This was quite a tough game as Watford are in my eyes a very good side and they made it tough for us. Thankfully we never gave up, we kept attacking and attacking and we got the goal early in the second half courtesy of Evatt. Kevin Phillips made sure of the win with a late strike.
An entertaining game though we went down 1-0 very early in the game which I was rather not pleased about but still plenty of football to be played and we pegged them back not long after and grabbed another couple of goals before half time. We then got another early in the second half and Coventry pulled one back late on.
Not a great result by all means but Millwall are a tough team to beat and we did our best so I have no complaints whatsoever about this game.
Pleased to go through but disappointed that this game got taken all the way to penalties. We should have really beaten them in normal time but definitely an entertaining game which sees us play my favourite team Chelsea *Gulp*
Another comfortable home win. We seem to enjoy scoring 4 goals at home lol. Anyway Connor Clifford scored 2 cracking goals though his 2nd did take a slight deflection. A very good performance all round and Ian Evatt was named MOTM. At the moment we are 2nd in the table with West Ham sitting in 1st place.
Injury news: Barry Ferguson is out for 4-6 weeks after injuring his ligaments in training. A big blow for us.
