What training do you all do for the Non League part time players, is it worth doing intense training or just do general stuff and not get to heavily involved ?
I let the general stuff because you can't change it having part time contracts. I foucussed though on different aspects like finishing for young strikers till the age of 22, or composure for players who are over 23. For the defenders I focussed on heading or tackling, and for the full backs on tackling, crossing and agility, the midfielders on stamina, and passing.Attacking midfielders on dribbling and passing.
See what your backroom advice says. Maybe they start training a striker to place shots, or a defender to mark opponents tightly etc....
But players can become unhappy with high training workload if you put them to exercise for example finishing and to place shots too. Choose only one from these categories. I did something similar.
Cheers!
Vladsofro cheers for the reply may look into changing my training regime next season..
How is your season going wayupna?
Any interesting news?
Cheers!
Well i missed out on promotion lost in the playoff final to Carlton..

I was poor my side was tired and we just didnt have that extra game in the tank..

2nd season still no money, even more in debt than before and no one wants to join me so its going to b another long hard slog by the looks of it..
I start now another journey with Rainworth. I have created good things at Thurrock. Sadly I can't keep my performances with the Fleet because when I have started the game I didn't knew the link to the 7th and 8th tiers. So now from the beginning. I didn't decide yet. Maybe I will start unemployed as a Sunday League Footballer with the clear intention to manage a 8th tier. Any sugestions?
Cheers!
There are a few good teams around at that level fella..

Its just a major strugle to get hold of players to come to your side..
I started in the end with Rainworth. They have the worst media prediction in the league and are supposed to finish last. I have played so far only friendlies and one official game which I have managed to win 2-0. The good thing is that I have good youth prospects and I play with 3 players who are 17 years old in the starting 11. Of course good players for our level but this is what counts. Sadly I lose my good players as I can't offer them enough money even on non contract terms.
