Spurs spark changes
As Harry Redknapp leaves Tottenham for his national side, England. David Levy announced early this morning ex player Regan Williamson -who's career was cut short at 32, 2 years ago after a leg break caused by United player Paul Scholes- as their new manager.
Williamson who had enjoyed a playing career at Motherwell, Rangers and Tottenham and scored 22 goals in 55 games for Scotland, 9 of them games he captained.
Levy had this to say this morning "Obviously losing Harry is a big loss, but Regan is very influential and is a great leader, he showed this while he was here for the final 5 years of his career. He was a brilliant captain and I am sure he can lead this club to gold and greater success!"
We asked Williamson what he thought about becoming the new Tottenham boss and he responded confidently saying, "Well, David had said after I broke my leg that I would make a brilliant boss and he would love me to be the head coach here but there was no reason to chuck out Harry when he was doing so well. So, I remained patient and went to stay in Morocco for a little while. Come the end of the last season, Harry was being heavily linked with the England job and I got called by David who told me, Harry said he would be leaving. He asked if I would like to come in and discuss terms and I did so. Now, I'm here and Harry's at England. We are both where we want to be."
We continued questioning him and asked his plans for the club.
He responded "I reckon we need to make some signings, some big ones and some smaller ones. This club has many injuries at the moment and it is very possible we have many over the course of this next season. I feel that with some of these signings we could finish in the top 4: Win the FA Cup, good run in Europe, and even win the League cup."
Whatever way you look at it, it looks like a successful season is on its way to White Hart Lane.

Spurs signing superstars?
Tottenham seem to be splashing the cash as today it had been leaked that a bid of 34M for FC Porto's star striker Hulk was accepted, we heard from a source in Porto's camp.
Tottenham have already signed skilful trickster, Nene for 3.1m. Who even though is aged 30, Williamson still think is a class player. They had also put in a bid and contract offer for Ibrahim Affelay who signed for a different club.
If Tottenham do sign Hulk, it'll be tough competition for the striker spot(s). As Louis Saha, Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor are all easily good enough to make the Tottenham squad.
In ways of Tottenham getting rid of players, it looks like Luka Modric is outraged at not being allowed to discuss terms with Manchester City, as Tottenham wanted a whopping 40m for the star midfield gem.
