Burton Albion 0-3 Everton
An easy victory. We dominated the whole match, having 15 shots while Albion only having 2. Darron Gibson scored right after the break in the 46th minute to open the scoreline before Nikila Jelavic scored in the 57th minute. Jelavic then topped off the win by scoring a beautifully executed goal in the 84th minute. Jelavic was man of the match and we hope this is his return to form.
Injury Update
Steven Pienaar is out for a few more days and should be back for our next match against West Brom.
Tim Cahill is still out for another 3 to 5 weeks so Osman will continue to replace him.
Thanks for everyone who is reading!!! Keep it up!
West Brom 2-1 Everton
Absolute rubbish! We were outplayed in every part of the pitch. For the half I played with the 4-4-2 Diamond with Quintero and Jelavic upfront together for the first time. unfortunately it will also be the last as West Brom's Simon Cox scored 2 goals in the 9th and 18th minute to make it 2-0 at the break. At half-time, I switched the formation around to my usual 4-4-1-1 and had no choice but to take Darwin Quintero off and put Darron Gibson in the attacking midfielder slot. I also took Drenthe off and put McFadden on because Leon Osman is out for a few weeks with an injury. In the second half we attacked a little bit more and finally got a goal through Nikila Jelavic in the 46th minute.
We are now 9th in the table, with Blackburn climbing above us.
We have also been drawn Fulham in the 4th Round of the League Cup. Our next game is Arsenal at home.
Everton 1-1 Arsenal
We were very lucky to get a point out of this one! I went back to my 4-4-1-1 formation with Quintero upfront. Fellaini got sent-off for a disgraceful challenge in the 34th minute and was fined for it deservedly. We then took the lead in the 66th minute with Darwin Quintero, one of my best signing I've made on FM12. But then Theo Walcott struck in the 84th minute to earn a point for the Gunners.
Tim Howard was Man of the Match for his fine saves to keep Everton in the game.
We have now jumped up 8th, ahead of Blackburn.
Everton 1-1 Wigan
We need to win these games! Wigan had 14 shots to our 2 and they heavily outplayed us. Jordi Gomez put Wigan in front in the 54th minute after Alcaraz had put through his own net.
It ended in disaster too as Steven Pienaar, who just got back from a 4 month injury, was put on the sidelines for another 2 weeks and Nikila Jelavic was put out for 2 weeks as well.
We have to look ahead now and get a bit of form together, we really must be beating teams like Wigan if we want to get into the top half of the table this season.
Liverpool 1-2 Everton
What a win! Not only do we beat the third placed team in the league away, they are a fiercest rivals!! Cahill started where he left off before his injury with a nice headed goal from a corner. Unfortunately, Luis Suarez scored from close range just before half-time to make it 1-1. Then, just when we had started to give up hopes on another goal, Darwin Quintero struck!! He scored a magnificent finesse goal from close range to seal the win. We then held on till the final whistle.
No one particularly stood out ratings-wise and unfortunately we had two players injured in the first 8 minutes when Tony Hibbert, whose been a star performer for the team, went off in the 2nd minute and Jack Rodwell went off in the 8th minute.
Everton 1-2 Fulham
At least it wasn't in the league. That's all I can say. We had several missed chances we should have taken and it made us lose the match. Pavel Pogrebnyak opened the scoring in the 7th minute before Emmanuel Villa made it 2-0 Fulham in the 45th minute. We then struck back with Dennis Stracquilersi scoring in the 53rd minute but Fulham held on for the win. It serves me right for switching the whole team around and giving up and coming star Junior his professional debut.
We have to concentrate on the league now and try and get into the top 7 maybe even higher until the F.A Cup comes around.
Everton 3-2 Norwich
A very nice victory. We started the game well with Fellaini, who was just back from his 3 match ban, smashing the ball into the goal from 35 yards in the 7th minute. Norwich then struck back with Elliott Bennett in the 36th minute to make it 1-1. Straight after that goal, James McFadden made it 2-1 with a finesse shot into the top corner in the 38th minute. But straight after half-time, captain Grant Holt scored what looked to be the last goal of the game but in the 84th minute I brought on Leighton Baines, who was on the bench for his recent run of poor form, and he poached the last goal of the game in the 88th minute.
We are now 5th in the league table and going strong for the Europa League or maybe even the Champions League, but I doubt the latter one.
The next update will be a block of 5 games as it takes too long to type up every match report!!
Here is the next update:
Everton 0-1 Blackburn
Man City 3-1 Everton (Quintero)
Everton 3-0 Sunderland (Fellaini, Cahill, Quintero)
Everton 0-0 QPR
Everton 3-0 Wolves (Bentley, Quintero, Jelavic)
We started off a bit slow with a poor loss against Blackburn and we didn't really have much chance against league leaders Man City but then we thrashed bottom-of-the-table Sunderland 3-0, unfortunately drew 0-0 with QPR and finally beat wolves 3-0.
Darwin Quintero is a beast. He's scored 6 goals in 13 games and in the game against Wolves he finally made a bit of a partnership with Jelavic. Even the board said he was a absolute beauty of a signing.
We are now 7th in the league and 3 points of Newcastle in 6th.I have also made a bid for Pogebnyak (I don't know how to spell his name!) and we could sign him in a months time.
The next update:
Everton 0-1 Swansea
Tottenham 1-3 Everton (Baines, Rodwell, Bentley)
Fulham 1-2 Everton (Quintero, Cahill)
Everton 1-1 Stoke (Cahill)
Aston Villa 1-1 Everton (Fellaini)
Again, we started off with a loss and this time it was to Swansea, we really should be beating them. Then, against all the odds, we beat Tottenham, who are in 3rd place, away 3-1. We are now trying to sign Richard Sukuta-Pisu from the German Bundesliga for £1.7m.
I thought I might give you my tactics:
GK Howard
RB Hibbert CB Hetinga CB Jagielka LB Baines
BWM Fellaini DLP Rodwell
RWM Bentley LWM Drenthe
AM Cahill
TM Quintero
We are now 8th with 31 points and have played 20 games.
Here is the next 5 games:
Cardiff 2-1 Everton (Starcquilersi) (FA CUP)
Everton 1-1 Bolton (Quintero)
Man United 1-0 Everton
Everton 0-0 Newcastle
Everton 2-1 West Brom (Fellaini, Bentley)
We were awful over the last 5 games. We started off with a rubbish 2-1 loss to Cardiff in the FA Cup, then we drew with relegation-threatened Bolton. We then unsurprisingly lost to Man United, we played quite well to draw with 5th place Newcastle before beating West Brom 2-1. I have signed Sukuta-Pisu from the German League. We are still 8th in the table but Arsenal, who are in 9th, have 2 games in hand.
We unfortunately have a tough run over the next 5 games, with us playing 3 top-half teams.
The next update:
Chelsea 4-2 Everton
Everton 2-1 Arsenal
Everton 3-1 Wigan
Norwich 0-1 Everton
Everton 1-2 Liverpool
We started off with a disappointing 4-2 loss to Chelsea as we were once 2-0 ahead. We then beat Arsenal 2-1 which means we have beat them both home and away. Our last game against Liverpool was a bad result. We put in a good performance, with us taking the lead but we couldn't hold on.
Unfortunately, my new signing Sukuta-Pisu hasn't settled in and has gone back to Germany for a while and Darwin Quintero is injured for 5 to 6 weeks- leaving me with only 2 strikers - Jelavic and Stracquilersi.
We are now 7th in the league, having overtaken Aston Villa and Arsenal.
The next update:
Everton 0-0 Blackburn
Everton 1-1 Man City (Coleman)
Sunderland 0-0 Everton
Everton 3-2 Wolves (Cahill, Rodwell, Jagielka)
Everton 1-3 QPR (Bentley)
Awful 5 games. We started off with a poor draw at home to Blackburn, then we got a good draw against Man City. We then drew with relegated Sunderland before finally winning in the 90th minute against Wolves. To sum off a bad run, we lost 3-1 to QPR because of Pisu-Sukuta's sending off just before half time.
We are now 7th with 4 games to go and 8 points behind Newcastle in 6th.
Sorry I haven't been updating recently! I've had other things to do!
Last 4 Games of the Season:
Everton 2-3 Tottenham (Fellaini, Cahill)
Swansea 0-0 Everton
Everton 0-0 Fulham
Stoke 1-0 Everton
Awful end to the season leaving us 10th after Wolves and Stoke over took us. We will move onto the next season!! The next update will be pre-season and transfers!
Not bad finishing 10th with a £0 transfer budget. Im gonna be starting a season with everton as i am an everton fan if its any help try playing gibson with fellani insted of rodwell. Good thing with everton they have a very good youth facilities and stuff so u get good regens coming into your team
