So I thought I’d do my own FM story.
Felt like doing a different league and being in a different nation this time other than English, so I chose Germany. I’ve always been fond of this league as it has quality teams and the league is very close where the winners of the Bundesliga change unlike the Premier League.
I chose to be Hoffenheim, I wanted to make the team into a top European side competing and winning the domestic title while competing to win the Champions League (my ultimate aim).

I wasn’t very active in the transfer market and only brought in one player. Andile Jali a cheap and effective DM. I didn’t have the funds to improve my squad from what I already had so I thought I’d wait till January and the next summer to get some cheeky bargains.
So I played my first few games and this is how they panned out:

Ahlen 0-7 Hoffenheim (German Cup) Easy, first match first win.

FC Bayern 2-1 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) Gutted considering how well the team performed and the fact I was ahead till 80th minute when they scored two screamers.

Hoffenheim 2-1 Hannover (Bundesliga) Great performance, Hannover equalised in the 88th minute but I nicked the points in the 95th minute ;).

Hertha BSC 1-2 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) another great performance from the lads

Hoffenheim 3-0 Koln (Bundesliga) should have been more.

Dortmund 3-0 Hoffenham (Bundesliga) Bad performance all round but a very difficult fixture.

Will have more updates soon, would appreciate feedback, negative or positive and some advice :).
Some good results there, I shall be following as I like the German league
Thanks, got a few injuries already though, including Obasi so could be tough. :(
As long as you lose to Leverkusen, this will be a nice story :) (yeah, I'm managing Leverkusen, clearly the class of the Bundesliga)
Haha :P hopefully I won't.
Would be nice if you can post some screenshots. :)

NEXT UPDATE:

Lots of big teams like Lyon and various other big European clubs were coming in for a few of my players. Mainly, Beck and Vorsah but I rejected them as I felt they would be key to have if I was to gain any sort of success in my first season.

After a disappointing 3-0 loss to Dortmund, the team needed to win our next game as a drop in team morale could be disastrous. My next match was at home to Gladbach.

Hoffenheim 2-1 Gladbach - Great result against the team who were first heading into the game.

My next two games were easy considering some of the matches I have played already. The next game was at home to Kaiserslautern who were second from bottom heading into the game. The game after that was a game I really expected to win as Augsburg had lost all seven league games played so far and were bottom on 0 points.

Hoffenheim 2-1 Kaiserslautern

Augsburg 0-2 Hoffenheim

So three wins on the trot couldn't of asked for a better start, third after 8 games and 1 point off top (Dortmund).

Still would highly appreciate feedback :)
NEXT UPDATE:

After a great start I knew that reality was going to kick in, and sure enough it started to.

Hoffenheim 1-0 Werder Bremen Good win and a rare clean sheet.

Stuttgart 1-1 Hoffenheim - Should of won had the chances but yet again composure let us down.

Stuttgart 1-2e Hoffenheim (German Cup 2nd round)- Extra time should of been finished in the first 90 minutes dominated throughout.

Hoffenheim 1-1 Freiburg - Dominated completely and the teams difficulty in keeping clean sheets yet again causes us problems. Disastrous defending mistake. Looks like the players are becoming fatigued with 3 games in around a week.

Leverkusen 4-1 Hoffenheim - Shit, nothing else to say.

It's starting to show that the club doesn't have the squad, the quality or the finance to compete for the title yet.
You might need some good CB though. Arne Friedrich is a good choice and he's free. Good luck :)
Thank you I looked at him but he has a global ban lol?
Good story and good luck. But you could have a small match report for each game describing what happend. Apart from that it's good keep it up :)
Cheers I will start to add in scorers and assists shortly, and thanks :)
UPDATE:

After having a run of 3 matches without a win in a league I desperately needed a win in the next game as morale and points are vital especially if I wish to be somewhere near the top at the end of the season.

Hoffenheim 4-1 Schalke

Scorers:

Chinedu Obasi (3) Klass Jan Huntelaar(49)
Peniel Mlapa (17)
Ryan Babel (44)
Gylfi Sigurdsson (78)

Mainz 1-3 Hoffenheim

Scorers:

Peniel Mlapa (21) Bo Svensson (27)

Hoffenheim 4-1 HSV

Scorers:

Wolfsburg 0-3 Hoffenheim

Scorers:

Marvin Compper (78)
Sotiris Kyrgiakos OG (81)
Isaac Vorsah (86)

What a response! was chuffed with these wins and it moved me right up level on points with FC Bayern who were top.

Hoffenheim 1-2 Nurnberg

Scorers:

Ryan Babel (62) Marvin Compper OG (8)
Christian Eigler (48)

Shocking defensive display led to two goals that really we shouldn't be conceding but next is a cup match vs Gladbach, could do with a cup run.

Hoffenheim 4-1 Gladbach

Scorers:

Peniel Mlapa (26) Roman Neustadter (33)
Chinedu Obasi (30)
Sven Schipplock (57)
Sejad Salihovic (78)

Entering a months break with a win, and high up in the league. I am pleased with the results and runs of forms we've been in hopefully I can keep it up and we will have Europe next season!

Will do screenshots if you wish.
