Ok so, I want to create this team on the editor. I am going to call the team Adidas Academy. The team will only have u17's. They will start off in the Blue Square Bet Premier League.

At first they have no staff but the club will hire them. I'm NOT managing the team, just watching thier progress. I am going to put a transfer embargo on them so they cant sign any players. When they reach the premier league, they will be 19-21 if they get successive promotions.

Now the part where you come in. Should the u17's be the players with the best current ability or the players with the best potential ability?

I'm giving you 24 hours to choose.
OK voting now close and I know it's about 3 hours early but it was an obvious winner being Potential Ability and I am just about to start it. I will post monthly updates and the best game from that month.
July

Media Prediction: 3rd
Transfers In:
Patrick Bantamoi (GK) Key Fact: Played for Telstar who are a Dutch Juplier League team before being released
Emmanuel Boakye (DR/WB(R)) Key Fact: Played for Sparta who are a Dutch Juplier League team before being released
Transfers Out: Nobody
Star Player: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Most Goals: Andy Polo/ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both 2 goals
Most Assists: Mateo Kovacic - 2 assists

Kevin Dillon took the hot seat of the Adidas Academy. He was previously a manager at Aldershot for 1 year and 2 months. He was also the assistant manager of Reading when they won the Championship in the 2007/08 season.

Ok enough of the manager, the Academy had fixtures against Hull City, Leicester, FC Bayern and Wolves Reserves. First game was against Hull where it went pretty well. Mbaye Niang opened the scoring after just 2 minutes and the first half finished 1-0. In the second half, Anass Achahbar scored to make it 2-0 with 11 minutes to go and thats how it finished. Adidas Academy had 55% of the possession.

Next game was against Leicester. It didn't go as well as the Hull game went basically. Jeffery Schulpp opened the scoring on the 8th minute to make it 1-0 Leicester. Oxlade-Chamberlain started the comeback scoring 12 minutes later but the comeback broke down when Martyn Waghorn scored with just 4 minutes to go. The Academy had 43% possession.

The third game was against the Wolves Reserves and Jake Cassidy started of strong for the Reserves scoring after just 4 minutes but the game was silent from there on before it came to Jamie Reckford getting sent off for the Reserves on just the 37th minute. Kevin Dillon must have thought this was his chance and certainly said that at half-time because Andy Polo scored just after 13 minutes from kick off. But unluckly, the Reserves managed to hold off as it finished 1-1. The Academy had 55% of the possession.

The last friendly was against FC Bayern (Bayern Munich). Munich played a pretty strong team against the Academy with Lahm, Boateng, Muller, Kroos, Ribery and Schweinsteiger all staring. They proved to be a tough opposition for Die Roten but Nils Petersen had other ideas scoring for Die Roten after 22 minutes. But Oxlade-Chamberlain bounced back with a goal 4 minutes later! It reached half-time 1-1 but Jupp Heynckes wanted to beat the Academy keeping on his stars and right enough Arjen Robben scored 6 minutes after the restart. And it finished 2-1 to Die Roten. The Academy had only 30% of the possession.

So overall July went OK for the Academy winning once, drew once and lost twice.

They have 5 hard games in August against the Blue Square South champions, the 3rd placed Luton Town, League Two relegated side Lincoln, 16th placed Hayes and Yeading and 4th placed side Wrexham.
If I don't see support on this series soon, I might have to just end it, and I can see people are still voting when the voting is closed because I don't know how to end a poll.
