Signed a good looking prospect for the future £2.2M
Injury Comeback
Michael Carrick has resumed full training following his 3 week spell on the sidelines, he is unlikely to feature against Swansea however could give him a run out the following week.

Summary
First game against one of the promoted sides & we controlled the game pretty much throughout. After a rather quiet first half we finally got the break through, Valencia's pass finds Rooney who then lashes a screamer into the net and we had a second just after when Steven Caulker put the ball in his own net. We clinched the winner just past the hour mark through another brilliant Nani strike, Sylfi Sigurdsson managed a consolation for Swansea with a fantastic free kick from 30 yards.

Summary
As you can see from the stats we ran rings around them today..Gaitan had us 2 up within the opening 10 mins, the first being a scramble in the box & the second a lovely curler just outside the box. We had to be patient for the third but it came when Nani once again unleashed a piledriver into the roof of the net. For some reason my players switched off after & allowed QPR to grab 2 goals in 9 mins through Cisse & Hall but we hung on for the 3 points, even though i weren't impressed with there concentraion in the last quarter of the match!

Injury Setback
Park Ji Sung has been ruled out for the next 2 weeks, he suffered a thigh strain after mistiming a ball during a training session. He has been officially ruled out of the L'Pool game in our next league game.
End Of August Awards
Player Of The Month - Nani
Young Player Of The Month - Junior Hoilett
Manager Of The Month - Adam Deverell

Not only for these 2 awards but Nani's strike v QPR came in as the 2nd best goal of the month..Nani's had a great start to the season with 3 goals in as many games. Im happy to recieve the MOTM award winning all 3 of my games in August. I look to build on this great start to my managerial career!

The board are currently satisfied with my management of the team.
Injury Setback
Danny Welbeck faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken wrist whilst falling awkwardly during a EURO qualifier vs Bulgaria. It looks asif he will be out for the next 3 weeks.

Summary
This was a game where we were lucky to come out of it with anything. A bore draw, a stalemate between 2 of the top teams in England, the home side bossed the game largely & we were on the back foot for much of it having to defend. Apart from a couple of close headers from Evans we didn't really test the goal however we got ourself a point at Anfield so we'll happily take it. Giggs went off injured after an hour but proved to be nothing serious..Park is back from his 2 week lay off.

Staff Dismissal
I have today decided to terminate the contract of youth coach Tommy Martin but mutual termination. I felt he wasn't much of a use at the club & we already had a sufficient amount on staff in that field.

Summary
Probably the toughest fixture of the group however we came through it with flying colours. Wayne Rooney put us ahead 10 mins into the second half & it was 2-0 soon after, Jonny Evans leaping to head in his first goal for Manchester United. With 15 mins to play Anderson played in Fabio to tuck home, he had only been on the field a couple of minutes. Great result & a clean sheet!

Substitutes: Young (62) Owen (70)

Summary
Not the most entertaining of matches to watch & it took a little over 50 mins to make the breakthrough, Wayne Rooney's double in 2 mins had us in a comfortable position. Villa got a goal back with a third still to play but the score stayed as it is and we got the 3 points.

Substitutes: Scholes (67) - Got injured replaced by Park (84) Owen (67)

Summary
A disappointing result as i felt the team i put out was capable of taking Liverpool down. I gave new signing Areola his first team start and he did okay..Daniel Agger put the home team ahead after just 4 mins & Steven Gerrard made it 2-0 after half an hour. We managed to grab a goal back courtesy of a Seydou Keita own goal but could not build on that and so were out of the cup after our first round, disappointing but we can focus our minds elsewhere now.

Summary
What a game at Craven cottage! I wanted a response after our early carling cup exit in midweek but it didnt start well when just half an hour in Vidic had put the ball in our own net..we gradually got into the game & we were level just after the restart, Rooney bagging his 5th of the season. After some sloppy defending Villa put Fulham back infront, this is when i pushed my men forward & thankfully we got the equaliser through Nani. We were in for a grandslam finish, Fletcher played a one two with Cleverley before unleashing a 30 yard screamer into the top right corner..i was thrilled with the way we had turned it around.
