Window trouble

Some of you may know that you can change the layout of FM in preferences to make it come up in a window so that you can perform other tasks on your PC. However after choosing this setting it doesnt allow you to see certain parts of the screen like the star ability of a player and how they compare to other players. Is this just one of the problems with having FM windowed or is there a way around it.
