The start of the journey.

Fans favourite Jurgen Klopp, who lead Dortmund to their first title since 2002 in 2011 resigned from the club with immediate effect after contract talks broke down with the chairmen Hans-Joachim Watzke over wages. The board had to appoint a new manager quick and decided to go for a young up and coming manager in me. So today Beany took charge of Borussia Dortmund. I choose to set my expectations as Champions-League qualification as the German 1st Division has some very fierce competitors such as Munich and Schalke.

Next update, pre-season results, transfers in and out and staff changes.

Opening match in German Cup 1st round
Today marked Beany’s first game in charge in a competitive fixture. In a match that should be easy, Beany and Dortmund will be looking to ease restless fans after their poor pre-season.

Eimsbuttel VS Borussia Dortmund

Line Up:

Weidenfeller
Piszczek
Hummels
Subotic
Schmeelzer
GroBkreutz
Leitner
Bender
Lowe
Gotze
Lewandowski

Things got off to a great start for Dortmund when a weak goal kick which was headed clear by Subotic, allowed Lewandowski to break free off the defence and slotted home after just 37seconds. On 7minutes Gotze made a darting run down the right and whipped in a vicious cross that was cleared. However it fell kindly to GroBkreutz who volleyed home from 7yards. Lewandowski then added a third after running from his on 18yard box weaving around opposition defenders to slot home after rounding the keeper after 14minutes. After 38minutes Dortmund added a fourth from a good corner which Subotic got onto the end off to head home. Things got even more embarrassing for Eimsbuttel as from a corner Lewandowski pounced on a loose ball that had been deflected by three separate players to head home from 3yards out to get a superb hat-trick. Then to make matter worse after on the stroke of 73minutes Bender scored a screamer from 25-30 yards out into top right corner. Then just 2minutes later Lewandowski scored after tapping in Lowe’s close range header.

Eimsbuttel VS Borussia Dortmund 0-7

Man of the Match: Lewandowski with a rating of 9.80 after getting 4goals.

At least five...

I'd sell Weidenfeller and buy Handanovič from Udinese. Handanovič cost me about 7.5 in the second or third season, so it's attainable. Also, probably sell Omyowela for as much as you can, and buy Jelle Vossen as a striker. Also, maybe sell Piszcek and try to get anything for that position. I have a regen there... Someone that can defend

Jelle Vossen is 2.3 million €. Definitely my first choice.

Best of luck

Thanks mate, I was about to sell Omyowela but he is now injured for 5weeks :(
Opening match of the German First Division.

After an emphatic win at the weekend in the German Cup Beany and Dortmund open their title defence at home VS FC Koln with many fans expecting a victory.
Burussia Dortmund VS FC Koln

Line Up:

Weidenfeller
Piszczek
Hummels
Subotic
Schmeelzer
GroBkreutz
Leitner
Bender
Lowe
Gotze
Lewandowski

Took the lead on 12minutes after from slick passing from Dortmund, Leitner eventually found Gotze on the edge of the area who smashed the ball home. Things got worse for Koln when Lanig got sent off for a horrendous double-footed tackle from behind. Then to the anger of the home fans Lewandowski got sent off for an even worse challenge than Lanig’s. Due to the two players sent off the 2nd half was a comfortable for Dortmund if not a bit boring as they kept the majority of the possession. In the last few minutes Koln charged forwards and prolific striker Podolski hit the bar with two successive shots. A boring match but still a victory for Dortmund to start their title defence.

Dortmund VS Koln 1-0
Man of the Match: Leitner with a rating of 7.60.
Breaking News: Lewandowski has been banned for 4weeks after his sending off against Koln.
Dortmund leave it late to grab a win at Hertha

After last week’s hard fought victory over Koln Dortmund will look to be more convincing as they travel to Hertha. But they will have to win without a single striker in their squad.

Hertha VS Dortmund

Line Up:

Weidenfeller
Piszczek
Hummels
Subotic
Schmeelzer
GroBkreutz
Leitner
Bender
Lowe
Gotze
Kagawa

Gotze nearly scored after just 27seconds after running from inside his own half, dribbling past several opposition players to then smash the ball against the bar. Hertha had the home fans celebrating after putting the ball in the back off the net, but the linesman ruled it offside much to the anger of players and fans alike. Hertha striker missed from 2yards out after heading wide. The second half was much like the half with very few good chances. With the game heading to a 0-0 draw substitute Perisic scored with just 7minutes to go to put Dortmund ahead. Dortmund held out to get two wins in two games.

Hertha VS Dortmund 0-1

Man of the Match: Hummels
Reckless challange leavs Dortmund seeing red

Another hard worked victory meant two in two for Dortmund putting them 2nd on goal difference behind Munich. Today Beany and Dortmund travelled to Hoffenheim to try and make it three in three and stamp their intentions for the rest of the season.

Hoffenheim VS Dortmund

Line Up:

Weidenfeller
Piszczek
Hummels
Subotic
Schmeelzer
GroBkreutz
Leitner
Bender
Lowe
Gotze
Perisic

Things got off to a bad start for Dortmund as Lakic scored after just 12minutes for Hoffenheim after a mistake by Wiedenfeller. Piszczek got sent off with for using an elbow in an aerial and this allowed Hoffenheim to score from a stunning free-kick. The second half looked a bit more promising for Dortmund with Perisic grazing the bar from a long range effort. Perisic then missed a sitter to give Dortmund hope but smashed it straight at the keeper. It was looking evident that Dortmund was missing having no strikers due to suspensions and injuries as they missed another sitter in the 8oth minute.

Hoffenheim VS Dortmund 2-0

Man of the Match: Lakic (Hoffenheim)
