Things did not start well for Costa Rica when their star defender Eduardo Touborne put the ball into his own net after slicing an attempted clearance. Ashley Young then doubled the lead when with a sensational curling effort from 18yards out. Rooney then scored from 3yards out when Young’s corner somehow hit the bar and Rooney was there to tap the ball home.
The second half was a lot less entertaining with Rooney having the best shot in the half with the ball being cleared of the line after just 3minutes of the kick off. GB retained possession for the rest of the half to secure a comfortable 3-0 win.

Dortmund broke a record after scoring after just in 12seconds through a Ivan Perisic penalty, after Rausch handled the ball in the area. Dortmund doubled their lead just two minutes later after Kagawa volleyed home from just 5 yards out. However Hannover was not going to give up and pushed forwards relentlessly and got the goal they deserved after Rausch tapped in a sitter after a great cross from Pinto. Dortmund scored 4minutes after the second half started to put Dortmund firmly in the driving seat through a Santana header from close range. With time running out Hannover scored from a stunning free-kick but it was nothing more than a consolation goal.

U23 GB VS Nigeria

After a comfortable 3-0 win last week and Beany coming back from the German Super Cup win morale was high and the home nation was expected to win by a margin yet again.
Line Up:

Welbeck

A very boring match that somehow ended up having 3goals. In the first half not a single shot on target was made by either team and at the half-time break. In the second half Rooney scored after just 27seconds after a deflected shot looped over the keeper. The second goal just three minutes after that involved even more fluke as Rooney’s second shot took three separate deflections to roll into the net. However Welbeck’s goal was less luck and more skill as from a Bale cross Welbeck did a Rooney like over-head kick to add some gloss to the match.
U23 GB VS Japan

After a comfortable 3-0 win last week and Beany and the home nation was expected to win by a margin yet again.

This match was more enjoyable as team GB played Japan off the pitch. Japan’s cause was not helped when star play Usui was sent off for violent conduct after just 5minutes. Rooney kept his goal scoring from going as he passed the ball into the net after a great 1-2 with Cleverly. Rooney then scored a chip from 18yards out to leave the Japanese player in shock. Smalling then scored a volley from 20yards out to leave the stadium in a state of shock.
U23 GB VS Ivory Coast

After a comfortable 3-0 win again last week. GB were through o the quarter-finals.

Ivory Coast used the three over 23 rule to their advantage as they decided to bring in Yaya Toure, John Obi Mikel and Gervinio. Ivory Coast took the lead through a Tour screamer from around 25yards out. They then doubled their lead through Mikel who headed home after a great corner. But Beany and team GB were not going to give up and two minutes into the second half Welbeck scored a header from 3yards out to bring the crowd back into the game. With the crowd on the players backs Young stormed forwards and smashed the ball into the bottom right corner off the net. Then to the shock of all around Baines scored a stunning free-kick to pull off an exceptional come back.

A match this time that was dominated but the elders of GB. Rooney scored the opener after just 2minutes and Young then added the second nearly instantly after, leaving the Swiss reeling in shock. Young then scored again 2minutes from time and the Swiss hit back with a volley to give the traveling fans something to cheer about. We were through to the FINAL!! But first up Dortmunds first game of the season against Stuttgart at home and their new manager is....... the ex Dortmund manager
Dortmund VS Stuttgart
With the German Super Cup already won the German champions are looking to set an example and show why they deserve to win the title yet again. Against a weak Stuttgart team managed by the ex-Dortmund manager.

The return off Jurgen Klopp was not a happy won as Beany and Klopp’s old team Dortmund ran out easy victors in their first home game off the season in their title defence. Gundogan scored after just 5minutes with a penalty. Lewandowski scored with a volley just 2yard sout after a great free-kick by Kagawa. Lewandowski then scored again from another volley from a Kagawa. However Stuttgart scored from the penalty spot on after 89 minutes.

Spain scored three goals in just 7minutes to break GB hearts as Fabregas scored and Pedro scored twice. Young did pull one back for GB in the 86th minute but unfortunately it was too little too late.

Koln VS Dortmund

Line Up:
Weidenfeller
Piszczek
Subotic
Hummels
Schmelzer
Bender
GroBkreutz
Leitner
Kehl
Kagawa
Lewandowski

For the first time since Beany took over Dortmund set up in a very defensive manor to withhold the likes of Podolski. However Koln could not get started and Dortmund scored after just 4minutes through a stunning Kagawa shot from long range. Koln nearly scored instantly after with Podolski hitting the post from a long range shot that took a deflection. The second half however was all Koln with them hitting the woodwork seven times in this half (has to be record). In the final ten minutes it was still 1-0 and they pushed forwards relentlessly but still failed to score.

Koln VS Dortmund 0-1
story comming along nicely, great having Hummels and Gotze from the start

A sensational performance by Dortmund defensively and offensively. Things started well for Dortmund as there keeper was sent off for bringing down Sanogo in the box. Gundogan scored from the spot. Sanogo then scored with a superb curling effort from just outside the 16. GroBkreutz then scored his first off the night with a close range header. He then scored again with a curling effort from inside the D. Hummels then scored a power header from 5yards out after a GroBkreutz corner. Gundogan scored another penalty after he was taken down in the area however the ref was sympathetic with the offender and only booked him. GroBkreutz rounded of the scoring by scoring his hat-trick with a superb solo effort from just inside his own half dribbling past 4 separate players to then round the keeper and passed the ball into the net.

Sanhausen VS Dortmund 0-7
