Training
The squad has been assessed and the training has been set up. The majority of backroom staff have left the club and new staff have been bought in. With three and a half stars or more in each category, the players will benefit from the training sessions. There are also six scouts behind the scenes looking for the next generation of stars.
Transfers
With the transfer budget set at only £5,000,000 Milan Badelj looks likely to be the only player who will come in. Signed from Dinamo for £3,500,000 he fills a gap in the centre of midfield.
Hilario was sold to FC Porto for £750,000 and Paulo Ferreira joined Benfica for £1,000,000. They were both the wrong side of thirty and did not offer much to the first team.
Tactical Systems
These are the two tactics that I have set up and will be testing throughout pre season. We will look to control games and retain possession. The individual quality in the team will enable us to attack and create plenty of chances. Hopefully the squad can take to the tactics and be ready for the start of the new season.
August 2011 - Pre Season
A very good pre season and some brilliant performances. Six academy players played some part in all the matches and showed they can play with the first team squad. Hopefully we can carry this form into the new season and get off to a good start.
