i play a 4-2-3-1 formation with 1 striker and an attacking midfielder just behind. if i play my striker in his preferred role as target man he doesnt play very well. what would be a better role??
It all depends on your players. I play with a solo striker up top, one of them as a complete forward and the other as a poacher because they are different players
I usually play 1 up top and i'll always use them as an 'Advanced Forward' When playing 1 up front and using a 'Target Man' or any of the other roles they will occasionally drift too deep to provide an attacking outlet. On the other hand a poacher would just stay up top too far away to offer any help to the midfield.
What player is upfront and what players are wingers, and what AMC ?
I would put him as a poacher. He will score quite a few goals in this role.
