Manchester United

Media Prediction: 2nd

Board Target: Fight for the Title

My Target: Win the League, Final 8 of Champions League, Round 5 of FA Cup

Transfer Budget: £18,500,000

First Game, First Win

Manchester United 4 - 0 Manchester United Reserves

Hernandez 11
Hernandez 50
Hernandez 71
Hernandez 89

A great first win for the team, and an outstanding display by Hernandez. However, my plans have now been put into jeopardy. I was going to find a first team striker to partner Rooney and have Hernandez on the bench, but now I might just buy a sub striker and play Hernandez with Rooney. A great way to start pre-season.

The Streak Continues!

Antwerp 2-3 Manchester United

Montolivo 41
Rooney 43
Cleverley 52

With Montolivo and Rooney making my half time team talk much easier, United dominated the game, besides from two Antwerp counters. Montolivo made his debut one to remember with a goal and the man of the match award. Cleverley also secured a possible place in the starting XI for the upcoming season.

United Throw Away Victory

Manchester United 2 - 2 Borussia Dortmund

Hernandez 10
Rooney 19

After going two up in twenty it looked like United would storm to victory. However, a complacent second half by the team meant Dortmund could pull two back and gain a draw, as many expected. Luckily, Rio Ferdinand, who was stretched off in the 68th minute, will be back for the next game, after his injury was not as bad as expected.

Devils Defeat the Wolves

Wolfsburg 1 - 2 Manchester United

Rooney 50
Hernandez 81

A solid win for the boys with an all round excellent performance. Nemanja Vidic was unlucky to concede an own goal in the 79th minute, but the spirit and motivation of the Red Devils meant Hernandez, who is on superb form at the moment, would bounce back and grab the winner. A great win for the squad, preparing for the upcoming season and Community Shield.

6 of the Best!

Manchester United 6 - 0 Sevilla

Rooney 6
Rooney 9
Cleverley 27
Rooney 38
Rooney 53
Evra 66

United recorded an oustanding win, inlcuidng a 4 from Rooney, and a first half hattrick. Cleverley also showed why he deserves his place in the starting XI, and Evra showed why he shouldn't go to Bayern Munich, after recent bids have been recieved. With many people expecting a draw, or a narrow United win, the Red Devils proved them wrong, and showed why they are one of the best in Europe.

Cup Final Misery

Manchester City 4-0 Manchester United

Disaster struck for United, and during the worst possible game. With Lindegaard injured and Kuszczak away on international duty, it was all down to De Gea - who got injured in the 21st minute by a late Carlos Tevez tackle. Rio Ferdinand took his place in goal, and well, the game went downhill from there, with City placing another 3 into the net as De Gea could only watch on. An unlucky result for the lads.

United Sink Rangers!

Manchester United 5-1 QPR

Young 2
Rooney 36
Rooney 49
Rooney 52
Rooney 79

In the opening game of the season, Brookers Boys bounced back from their City defeat, to sink QPR by 4 goals. Incluing ANOTHER 4 goals by Rooney, and an early goal from Young, United defeated QPR while playing with 10 men for the second half, after the 40th minute sending off, which also led to the QPR goal, scored by Hill. United are sure to carry on winning now, and aiming for the title.

Black Magic?

Blakburn 1-0 Manchester United

In a poor display by the team, 10 man Blackburn scored a late winner to gain their first victory of the season, and recording United's first loss. With Erick Torres making his debut in the 60th minute, he was unlucky to have a goal ruled offside just 6 minutes into his Manchester United career. Nevertheless, the team are ready to bounce back and get back to the title to retain their 20th title.
