After much confusion after the ill-fated Sunderland save, I've decided to try a Spurs game. My main aim in this game will be to ultimately win the league title within 3 years

Year 1: Re-establish Spurs as a ECC side
Year 2: Break into the top 2, possibly win the title, but main focus on maintaining the ECC status
Year 3: Win the title

This save will probably be more fruitful than the previous SAFC one.

The intervals for updates will be:

End of preseason
Transfer deadline
Month by Month
Season overview

Sorry for the dodgy posts about trying new games, settled with this Spurs one :)
Better start to save regularly now! :P
I'll be uploading the derby games and hopefully the cup finals to youtube and i'll stick them on here :)
Good idea mate :)
Pretty good preseason I think:
Spurs Reserves 1-0
Nurnburg 1-0
Leyton Orient 3-0
Astoria Tripolis 5-1
Atromitos 2-0
San Jose 3-1
Napoli 1-1

The Napoli result shows me that my squad is not yet fully ready to mount a serious challenge for the Europa League this year. If I can get some steady results maybe I can reach the latter stages, but the league is my main focus.

I have kept all the staff at the moment, because they seem to be part of a brilliant setup.

I've relieved myself of all the deadwood players with a few more on the way out, and have also signed a few top names which will be revealed in the transfer window update.
After a solid preseason, we slumped to a 0-3 defeat to Fulham in what I can only describe as abysmal.
We created nothing and gave away too much. In all honesty Fulham should have been 5-0 up at the interval never mind full time.

After beating Ferencvastos (?) 8-1 on aggregate, we made it to the group stages of the Europa League which is promising.

After this, we drew 2-2 with Liverpool. The game went back and forth for a while, neither side created much. I felt that Saha should have put the game to bed with the few chances he had.

A highly suprising defeat to Bolton followed. 1-3, even though we had the most chances and the better of the possession. It seems to be the epitome of every game I play: better team, lose heavily. Maybe I should turn my attention towards a goalkeeper?

Transfers
In:
Eden Hazard, 35million
Danny, 23million
Marco Verratti, 3.3million
Alex (Corinthians), 15million

Out:
Andros Townsend, Leyton Orient, Loan
David Button, Huddersfield, Loan
Dean Parrett, Bournmouth, Loan
Ben Alnwick, Scunthorpe, Loan
Jake Livermore, Swansea, 3million
Niko Kranjcar, Sunderland, 5million
Tom Huddlestone, Fulham, 5million
Gomes, Sunderland, 3million

A total of -£60,000,000 in the budget with minimal return. Not the start I had in mind when I made these dealings. Ironically, Huddlestone scored 2 of the 3 goals Fulham put past us.

I just hope that come the next update, this save doesnt go the way the Sunderland game did. I will give an update roughly December-time, unless I have been sacked.
