I know some people might and some people might not use genie scout. When you do and find a regen with a potential maybe 185+ how do you know if they will reach that?

Is there certain attributes they will have to help them reach that potential? E.g determination Or is it just down to coaching and playing time?
As far as I know mate (i dont use any scouting aids) as long as you have the following they will develop well, assuming of course that they have potential:

1. Good youth facilities.
2. Good youth coaches set up proplery.
3. Entry into the U18 leagues so they get game time.
4. First team football from age of 18 onwards (either on loan or in your own team). Obviously you cannot guarentee that they will get first team football, but the more they have the quicker they develop. I tend to use youngsters from 17/18 in my first team as much as possible (either against rubbish league opponents or as part of youth teams that I play in the domestic cups).

I got to 2042 on my Bath City save and developed a number of home-grown wonderkids to world class players using these methods.
This is good to hear. I have 4 and half star coaches for my youths and good youth facilities.

I will be taking this on board for when i sign "Wonderkids" that my scouts have found.
