C.D Mirandes: From the lows of the segunda to the heights of the La Liga.

So I've decided to manage C.D Mirandes who are in the segunda division B2. The aim is to one day play in the La Liga, it will be a tough challenge but an interesting one.

SQUAD

I have quite a strong team with a few stand out players, (Infante,Arroyo,Mujika).

Tactics
The tactics i am going to use this season are a simple,fluid 4-4-2, and an attacking of a 4-2-3-1 formatio,(dont get confused by the name of it, i used it in my old Bilbao save).

Transfers: INS/OUTS
Just the one transfer this summer, The advanced playmaker Jonatan Valle comes in on a free transfer.

July/August

Top scorer in Pre-Season was Mujika with 6.
So overall pre-season was a success we notched up 4 wins including that fantastic win against Liga BBVA side Athletico Madrid. So it was great preparation for the upcoming season.

AUGUST
League: U.D Mirandes 8-0 Real Sociedad
Cup: U.D Mirandes 3-1 Ponferradina
So what a start to the season! First game and an incredible 8-0 win. Pablo Infante was my MOTM scoring an hat-trick. This is one of my biggest ever wins on FM. We also progressed into the next round of the Spanish cup after a comfortable win.

Player of the Month: Has to be Pablo Infante, fantastic performance in the league and cup win scoring 4 goals in 2 games.

September



League: U.D Mirandes 3-1 Alaves
Cup: U.D Mirandes 1-1 Badalona (Badalona won 4-2 on pens)
League: U.D Mirandes 2-1 Ponferradina
League U.D Mirandes 3-2 Eibar
League U.D Mirandes 1-2 Bilbao Ath.

September proved to be a good month for Mirandes with 3 wins out of 4 in the league. I was disappointed losing in the cup as i felt we were good enough to win in normal time, it is also always disappointing losing on pens. I was pleased with the performance against Bilbao despite the result.
So Mirandes are in 2nd place in the league with 12 points from their first 5 games, scoring an impressive 17 goals!

Player of the month
My player of the month for September was Ivan Agustin. The center Midfielder was very impressive scoring two goals and assisting one.

So a good month overall just the one defeat in the six games. Towards the end of the month the players lacked fitness, especially against Salamanca where we were tired and also played poor. We have now dropped down to 4th place in the league.

Player of the month
My player of the month for October is Haritz mujika, he was very impressive scoring 3 goals in 5 games.

November

So november proved to be a good month overall with the team getting 10 points out of a possible 15. Very impressed with the win vs Arandina, was important to bounce back after the Salamanca defeat. We remain 2nd in the league, just two points behind the leaders Real Union.


Player of the month
Alain Arroyo

The striker had a brilliant month scoring 4 goals in 5 games, including a 93rd minute winner vs Sestao.

December


League: C.D Mirandes 2-1 Zamora
League: C.D Mirandes 3-2 Palencia
League: C.D Mirandes 4-1 Osasuna B.

So quite an easy month for the team with 3 wins of out 3 games. The highlight of the month was the brilliant comeback against Palencia where we was 2-0 in the 70th minute and ended up coming back, the winner scored by mujika in the 90th minute!. Also Alain Arroyo scored an hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Osasuna B. So the nine points puts Mirandes top of the league with 42 points.

Player of the month

For a second month running it is Alain Arroyo who wins plyer of the month. The striker was brilliant in December notching up 6 goals in 3 games!

January

The club are delighted to announce that we have have agreed for the Liga BBVA side Racing to become our parent club.

So January proved to be a frustrating month for Mirandes, very poor performances vs Sociedad and Ponferradina, but ended the month with a good win over Eibar. Despite just the one win in the last four we remain top of the league with 46 points.
