Many things have gone wrong with the last 2/3 dortmund stories I have attempted, the worst being a computer crash before I saved my game.

But now, I am starting again...

The Beginning

Jurgen Klopp, in a shock revelation, has been sacked by the Dortmund board and has been replaced by young, unknown, English manager Joe Smith. Is he the right man for the job??????

Basic Plan

    - Qualify for the Champions League via the League
    - Get to the Quarters in the Champions League
    - Win the German Cuop
    - Build a world class team filled with German youngsters
    - Recruit youth very well and get them into the first team within 3 seasons or sell them on for a healthy profit

I will update after big matches, spectacular matches, or big news.

Enjoy guys.

[h2] Pre Season [/2]

Every pre season game was won, generally by 2/3 goals at least. One anomaly from this is a victory over PSG away (3-2), with Lewandowski scoring two late goals to win it after the team were two goals down after 9 minutes, so that was the best performance from the team.

Transfers

Sebastian Rudy from Hoffenheim (£6.75m)
Erick Torres from Chivas (£4.5m)
And a few more youngsters who I can't be bothered naming.

Antonio da Silva to Bursaspor (£675k)
Chris Lowe to Sporting (£45k loan fee + £2.1m future fee)
Moritz Leitner to Nurnberg (free loan for a season)
And useless youngsters.

I am waiting for Arne Friedrich's injury and global ban to finish before I pick him up on a free to give me a bit of depth in the defence.

I have also had a big upheaval in the backroom staff as some were simply apalling. Brought in staff who have taken all of the categories to at least 4 stars.

Month #1

Right, so this is strictly about 7 weeks, but I wanted to update everything I have done so far, so here we go...

Schalke 0-2 Dortmund - German Super Cup
Kiel 1-3 Dortmund - German Cup Round 1
Dortmund 1-0 Mainz - Bundesliga
Leverkusen 2-2 Dortmund - Bundesliga
Dortmund 4-0 Stuttgart - Bundesliga
Dortmund 4-0 HSV - Bundesliga
Kaiserslautern 0-1 Dortmund - Bundesliga

So, a very good start to the season with two emphatic wins over two decent sides (HSV and Stuttgart) and a victory over rivals Schalke in the Cup Final.

Top 3 Goalscorers...

Lewandowski... 7
Hummels... 2
Perisc... 2
Barrios... 2

(ok so I know that's four but come on, they were level)

Draw for Champions League group stage

Chelsea
CSKA Moscow
DORTMUND
Genk

Next Match: Genk, Away
Champions League Match 1

Comfortable win, as can be seen from the possession figures. Good all round performance. In the other match in this group, Chelsea won 3-0 away with a Juan Mata hat trick.

Still no big injury news, only injury was Seb Rudy in the last game but he was only out for a couple of days.

In the transfer window, there were a few big signings, mainly into England. I will list the top 5 here:

1. Water Montillo, Cruzeiro to Manchester City, £15.25m
2. Marouane Fellaini, Everton to Arsenal, £15m
3. Phil Jagielka, Everton to Manchester City, £14.75m
4. Diego Perotti, Sevilla to Arsenal, £10m
5. Jan Vertonghen, Ajax to Everton, £8.75m

Tactics

So these are the tactics I intend on using throughout the season...

This is the first choice. It gives lots of possesion and a fair few chances, which has been pretty successful so far.

I have used this one a couple of times against worse opposition and won, and it is another original tactic which I am meddling with a little bit.

My tactic for closing out games. Very good, usually play it with 10/15 minutes left when I am winning and I haven't conceded a goal with this tactic in place so far.

If you want any other info about them, let me know guys.

Month #2

Rest of September:

Hoffenheim 2-0 Dortmund
Dortmund 3- 0 Wolfsburg
Dortmund 1-0 CSKA Moscow
Bayern 1-0 Dortmund

Mixed end to September. Glad we bounced back from the loss against Hoffenheim with a big with with Lewandowski on form again, but only to win 1-0 against Moscow after they have Wernbloom sent off after 4 minutes was a bit disappointing, as was losing to Bayern, when we were the better team: more possesion, more shots, more shots on target... but it was a worldy goal from Ribery quite early on and we weren't quite as sharp in front of goal as I would have hoped. Let's see where the results take us from here... Currently 3rd in the League behind Hoffenheim and Koln, but we do have the best goal difference.

Top 3 Goalscorers...

Lewandowski... 10
Gotze... 3
Perisic... 3

Next Match: Schalke, Home.
To anyone reading this, I have noticed that Hummels gets very tired in most games- any reason why??

Match #3

October:

Dortmund 3-3 Schalke - Bundesliga
Dortmund 1-1 Chelsea - Champions League
Koln 1-3 Dortmund - Bundesliga
FSV Frankfurt 0-1 Dortmund - German Cup R2
Dortmund 0-1 Hannover - Bundesliga

Top Scorers

Lewandowski... 15
Gotze... 3
Perisic... 3

Well, a poor month. One league win, and the rest was a bit disappointing. To draw with Chelsea when they had David Luiz sent off after an hour and we were 1-0 up. Lewandowski seems to keep scoring, and Sebastian Rudy is impressing a lot as well.

Next game is against the mighty Chelsea in the Champions League at the Bridge as the second half of the group stage kicks off.

Champions League Group table so far...

Bundesliga table so far...

EXCITING MATCH!!

What a game!! Gutted to have conceded right at the end to only put us top on head to head against Chelsea (i think that is why we are top, although we drew both matches I think the fact I scored three away compared to Chelsea who scored one at my place), but it is still a great result after the press thought it would be a textbook win for Chelsea. I also did after they took a two nil lead. Good result though, looks like we are heading to the next round!!

Next Match: Werder Bremen, Away
