Igor Markov completed his UEFA coaching badges from CSKA Moscow and was appointed as coach at Lokomotoiv Moscow. He remained there for 3 year and returned back to CSKA Moscow to assume the position of chief youth Coach. He is attributed for the development of bright talents at the clubs academy. With Leonid Slutskiy position under the scanner many insiders beleive that the board need not go outside but promote Markov as manager.

SLUTSKIY resigns by mutual consent.


In one of the unexpected news today CSKA manager Slutskiy has reigned from his post by mutual consent. Pressure was growing on Slutskiy but no one expected him to take this decision. It is believed that this decision paves way for Markov to become the new manager but nothing is yet to be confirmed by the board who have called for applicants interested in the job.

My first day at work:

I set about immediately shaping up the squad. Initially looking at the squad i feel it has a good core but needs patch up. The areas i'm looking to strengthen are the DM(CM),wingers and full backs. Also i will be making staff changes,but doubt i can attract the best possible.
