regarding transfers taking place without my consent

Hi Guys.

I normally manage at a fairly low level in the English League System so this hasn't happened to me before. I've noticed that a few players have transferred to other clubs without my having agreed to it. I was just wondering how this happens and what rules govern it. Is it the board interacting on my behalf or would it be something in the player's contract such as a clause or something? What are the best ways to prevent this happening?

Thanks in advance.

Ben.
The only time (i know of) a player moves without you agreeing is when the chairman says yes on behalf of the club when the deal is too good to turn down but he informs you before doing it.
Can't clubs sometimes just agree contract terms with a player and then simply pay a fixed fee to the other club as compensation?
If players have 6 months on their contract, they can talk to another club and agree a move for free
OK. That's probably what happened then. Thanks for the info chaps.
