Network Game help?

Hi all, me and my friend started a normal game as liverpool, and we live in different countries. I have just moved back to England and want to continue watching the game. I was thinking make a hamachi network and join the game as a unemployed manager, so I can watch all the games we play. However, when attempting to join network game, it says cannot connect to server. Is this because it is a normal game, and if so, can you convert it so I can join in.
