Dreamy December for Solihull Moors

(A) Solihull Moors 6 - 0 Guiseley
(H) Solihull Moors 4 - 1 Hinckley FA Trophy 1st Rnd
(H) Solihull Moors 3 - 1 Corby
(A) Solihull Moors 3 - 0 Eastwood
(A) Solihull Moors 2 - 0 Colwyn Bay
(H) Solihull Moors 1 - 0 Droylsden

This managed to get me my first manager of the month accolade as well as Jake Rosier picking up player of the month with 9 goals in 5 appearances + avg rating of 8.42. Furthermore, my new strikers Alvaro Jalo and Charles Adameno have 11 goals between them in 15 starts.

A long month for the players and it really showed in the last couple of games of the year where we shut out the opposition to great effect, dominated the last 2 games but very little to show for it. The squad is constantly being rotated, the contracts are coming to an end, people want more money and promotion pay rises. I fear things may get a little out of hand financially, but I'm going to ride the wave that is success and hope to earn some more funds in the near future.

With regards to new contracts, I have tried to tie down the same good players and tried to get rid of some of the crap, unfortunately, other teams dont want my crap, so best to let them see their contracts out and hope to cut the wage budget where it is being wasted. If you think money is tight, check out the wage budgets for the other teams in the league.

I have tried to loan championship players all month...hindsight...WTF was I thinking? No one from the championship wants to come and play for me! Im not managing my beloved WBA as of yet. January will be important to try and offload people, but as I said, no one wants my crap. Will scour league 1 and 2 for free loans, the midfield situation is out of hand, and as much as I say I'm gunna sort it, I've been lazy so far...time to pull the finger out before shit hits the fan son!
Have done a little bit to rectify the midfield situation and jointly the wage bill situation by bringing in my first loan of Nathan Rooney from AFC Telford. This guy has excellent stats and I am contributing nothing towards his wages.

Furthermore, West Bromwich Albion are flying high in the EPL in 8th. Shane Long leading the scoring with 13 goals and Chris Brunt leading the average rating of 7.53. I guess it is good for me they are flying high...when they eventually dip and the job becomes available I might have made a name for myself!

Joy in January for Hickman and his side

(H) Solihull Moors 2 - 2 Gainsborough
This was a tough game and I guess the result was as it should be.
(A) Solihull Moors 2 - 0 Vauxhall
(A) Solihull Moors 2 - 2 Altrincham
(A) Solihull Moors 4 - 3 Market Drayton FA Trophy 2nd Round
Who the hell are Market Drayton? They managed 3 goals from set pieces and I was 2-1 down after 60 minutes and down to 10 men! Brought on some big guns and Charles Adameno managed a brace.
(H) Solihull Moors 4 - 1 Bishops Stortford
(A) Solihull Moors 1 - 0 Workington
Solid couple of wins to finish the month

Another excellent month that leaves the league table looking so.

Jake Rosier has reached 30 goals for the season and Nathan Rooney is settling in nicely, 3 games 2 assist, 7.37 avg. Having an extra man for the midfield is making resting players and rotation much easier. I could probably do with getting another in but I am happy to give my younger players a go since I seem to be running away with the title...too complacent? Meanwhile Charles Adameno is up to 11 goals from 13 starts, Alvaro Jalo is 6 from 10 whilst also John Melligan is up to 23 assists from 30 games.

A couple of my 0 money contract players got signed elsewhere so I could probably do with getting another defender in, although Thomas Lyskov has just returned from injury which is a boost.

Hope everyone is still enjoying the story, if you arent, why not? Pray tell

Feburary and March - Sealing the deal

With an awful lot of games to play, including the FA trophy, I've got my head down and thrashed out these two months.

(H) Solihull Moors 5 - 1 Harrogate
(A) FA Trophy 3rd Round Solihull Moors 1 - 1 Sutton UTD
(H) FA Trophy 3rd Round Solihull Moors 3 - 0 Sutton UTD
(A) Solihull Moors 2 - 1 Hinckley
(H) Solihull Moors 5 - 0 Boston UTD
(A) Solihull Moors 2 - 0 Gloucester
(H) FA Trophy 4th Round Solihull Moors 1 - 1 Woking
(A) FA Trophy 4th Round Solihull Moors 5 - 3 Woking

This was a really tough month, with the 2 replays it made up 8 games. Im very lucky to have an array of good strikers to choose from, although having said that, this month i've mainly played a 442 as playing 3 strikers and rotating them wasnt good enough to keep them fit. Especially happy with the away leg vs Woking, this was a hard fought game. Brought on Charles Adameno at half time and he bagged a brace when it was 3-3 at half time.

(H) Solihull Moors 2 - 3 Halifax
(H) FA Trophy Semi-Final Solihull Moors 2 - 0 York
(A) Solihull Moors 1 - 2 Blyth
(A) FA Trophy Semi-FInal Solihull Moors 1 - 2 York
(H) Solihull Moors 5 - 0 Hyde
(A) Solihull Moors 3 - 1 Stalybridge
(H) SOlihull Moors 1 - 1 Nuneaton

This month, although less games, was more difficult than the last due to the players being super tired. As you can see I lost 3 and drew one this month. I put my best team in for the cup as we seem to be running away with the league and this paid dividends. Strikers on top form (not sure what we would do if they werent?) as well as Nathan Rooney providing the goods in midfield on loan from AFC Telford. This is someone I am looking to bring in next season on a permanent deal.

In other news, my backup keeper Jas Singh has been unhappy since he hasn't played a game, he is leaving at the end of the season and I got this guy, Hakan Duyan for £40 a week as back up.

I am also looking to tie down Charles Adameno on a 2 year deal as well as Jake Rosier who is now up to 40 goals this season in all competitions. Speaking of money, the board are obviously excited with how our form is but have frequently said wages are a problem...a cull is coming at the end of the season, and hopefully with a bit more stature, will be easier to loan players in next season.

Sitting pretty at the top as well as the final of the FA Trophy to look forward to vs Truro City (who? lol)
