Arka Gdynia - An Introduction

Just before I get started I would like to say that I have not stopped the Antwerp story, I just can't access it at the moment, and possibly for another week. So, in the meantime I have decided to make another story, and once I get my Antwerp save back I will continue that one also, so I will have 2 stories running.

I chose Arka Gdynia as I wanted a club from a nation where managing stories don't come out of often, so I chose Poland and I wasn't up for much of a challenge. Arka Gdynia was perfect, no debt, media predicted a top finish in the first division(1 Liga) which would get us promoted to the Exstraklasa.

Brief Description - Morski Związkowy Klub Sportowy Arka Gdynia is a Polish professional football club, based in Gdynia, Poland, that plays in the Polish 1 Liga. The club was founded as Klub Sportowy Gdynia in 1929. They are allied with Cracovia Krakow.

The club also don't have much success to hold to their name, they've won the Polish Cup once, in 1979 and that's about it.

I hope you all enjoy this story :) P.S - Frequent updates may be hard due to personal reasons, 1 a day is what I'm going to try and aim for.

Pre-Season 2011-12

Arka pretty much had a solid squad already, with only the LB and GK positions needing some back-up so I quickly sorted that out, securing a LB & a GK on a free, I also bought in a CM due to a CM being injured in pre-season and having some wage-budget free, he can now be used as backup or rotation in the CM or RM position. The people who left were pretty much deadwood and eating up the wage budget so I swiftly removed them, unfortunately no one wanted to buy them, so they went on a free.

Results + Performances

I think we had a pretty solid pre-season, managing good results, even beating the most reputable club in Poland, Lech. Everyone played and I couldn't spot any weak points if I'm honest. The only slight issue is the strikers, while we scored a few I do feel we could of scored more. However, a bit of training on composure and technique and getting more familiar with the tactic should do the trick.

This is the main tactic I will be using throughout the season, nice and simple :))

August Review

I'll be looking forward to more of this ;)

September Summary

It was disappointing to lose in the Polish Cup, especially after dominating them, but we just couldn't score at all, oh well, that's football.
