After many weeks of speculation Mr Abramovich has finally decided on the man to take charge of English giants . Taking over from Carlo Ancellotti the Chelsea owner sees that the English rookie James Donnelly is the man to lead the London club to and take them back to the highs of the Mourinho era. Although he may not be the 'special one' Roman Abramovich obviously feels that Donnelly is special enough to take charge of his Chelsea , and will back him with a nice sum of money as he always has done throughout his ownership of Chelsea. Roman Abramovich has assured James Donnelly that he will be able to spend whatever is needed to guide his team to becoming the best in the football world. The Chelsea owner has given a two year deal to his new and has set his sights on winning back the aswell as winning Chelseas first European Cup.

Board Expectations

Premier League- Strong title challenge
European Cup- Reach the final
FA Cup- Reach the final
League Cup- Would like a cup run but evaluating on other competitions

Media Prediction - Third Place

Team Budgets

Transfer- £7.5 million
Wage- £1.6 million

After discussions on the clubs aims and what both the and owner want to achieve the budgets have had a massive increase and Chelsea are showing they are going to do whatever it takes to achieve what the want this current and building for the next.

New Transfer Budget- £81.5 million
New Wage Budget- £1.9 million

With the resources available to him James Donnelly certainly has pressure on him to achieve a successful season from the aswell as achieving what his boss wants. As this is Donnellys first venture into football management there is no clue to the type of he wants, his style of player or even how he will buy, but however his new club will always be linked with big names and now even more due to the huge investment put in this summer. Can go on to a successful season and dominate football with their money, lets wait and see this shall be an intresting season as Chelsea look to get back on track to their recent past successes.

Once the starts I will update resuts monthly, and in between when I feel it is necessary. I don't want to keep updating so there is a constant overload of just me babbling on but if that becomes the case I apologise. Plus i will do all my transfer updates and fixtures in a package sort of thing so there isn't an update every and transfer.
Please feel free to offer advice and try in help me in many areas, such as writing the story as this is my first one. Secondly just general helping me out on who to buy, sell, what to do and not do etc. I have been told many times about imaging but i cannot upload any, I have tried and it just wont work so I apologise. Thanks
The first thing that new boss Donnelly does is have a team meeting and tells the players what he expects of them this season and how they will be playing and who is in his plans and who isnt. There have been three formations that his players will be getting used to this pre-season and looks to be playing in the new season. These formations are 4-2-3-1, 4-2-2-2 with wingers and the typical Chelsea 4-3-3. Donnelly expects his men to play simple football but always to put the opposition on the backfoot and attack with support, while he also expects all his players to get behind the ball when they do not have it and look to counter attack the opponents. The players seem excited by what they are being told to do and seem to admire the way they have been made aware of all the different styles of play, unlike with recent managers. There seems to be a real lift since the appointment of the new manager and they are really excited to trying to achieve a great season with Chelsea.

Meanwhile a number of players have been told by Mr.Donnelly that they do not feature in his plans no matter who they are and how good of a player they are, Donnelly wants his own players and wants to play and win his own way and not keep players he doesnt want. These players include Chelsea favourites Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel, and veterans such as Jose Bosingwa, Florent Malouda and Paulo Ferreira.

James also has a number of players in mind to replace these players and also add to what he wants to keep. He is keeping his mind open as he has an incredible amount to spend and will not rush into things as he doesnt want to make silly signings and make the right ones to help the club go on to big things.
What you said it is very interesting.

Looking Good..Some Visual Info would be nice
cheers pal,ye take that into account, i did try with the message increasing budget but had trouble getting picture on, but will try to resolve for when season starts etc.
Best of luck trying to manage the expectations of one Mr Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea is always one team I have found it hard to play as because of the Board/Chairman desire for trophies!
Pre-Season
Chelsea 3-1 Chelsea Reserves
River Plate 0-2 Chelsea
Vitesse 1-1 Chelsea
Daejeon 2-2 Chelsea
Busan 0-0 Chelsea
Ulsan 0-2 Chelsea
Chelsea 0-2 Ac Milan
Chelsea 2-1 Sevilla
Fc Bayern Munich 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 6-0 Thornaby
So the first pre-season under the new regime is over. It proved to be a pretty packed pre-season for Chelsea but a fairly successful one. The first pre-season under Donnelly included a tour of South-Korea, this proved to be a tour with good tests for the players and certainly proved to be the point where players started to gain fitness. Aswell as the tour there were a number of against tough quality opposition including European giants Bayern Munich and Ac Milan. To the new Chelsea boss he finds it more important that the players get fit for the season and get used to how he wants them playing, but does find it a bonus that the majority of results where on their side.

Transfer(going into first game)
Ins
Eden Hazard-LOSC Lille Métrople-£33.5 million
Marouane Fellaini-Everton-£14.5 million
Sime Vrsaljko-Dinamo-£2.8 million
Lacina Traore-Kuban-£7.25 million
Luke Shaw-Southampton-£1.2 million
Karim Rekik-Manchester City-£9 million

Total Spent-£68 million(Installments and add-ons in some deals)

All signings of a young age with brilliant potential. Some of them will be able to make an impact as players in the first team such as Eden Hazard and Marouane Fellaini, while the third Belgian signing Karim Rekik from Manchester City is likely to settle in the reserves and youth football as he is only 16 years old, along with another 16 year old in Luke Shaw. While the other two signings are both only 19 and 20 but have the ability to push on in the first team this year. Still a number of weeks left for Chelsea to add to their squad and that certainly looks like happening with the money available and rumours flying around.

Outs
Florent Malouda-Paris Saint-Germain-£6 million
Hilario-FC Porto-£675K
Jose Bosingwa-Sevilla-£3 million
Billy Clifford-Blackpool-£400K
Marko Mitrovic-Peterborough-£120K
John Obi Mikel-Inter Milan-£9.5 million
Ryan Bertrand-Wigan-£3.8 million

Total Sold-£31 million (Installments and add-ons in some deals)

So it was sad to see an end to a number of players Chelsea career's but it was agreed that the time was right for the likes of Jose Bosingwa, Florent Malouda and John Obi Mikel, as they don't feature in the new plans. While younger lads such as Ryan Bertrand and Billy Clifford have moved on to further their careers with first team football, athough it is agreed that they can go on to be very good players. This isn't likely to be an end to Chelsea selling players as some players may not feature in the clubs plans, and with more players likely to come in, it is likely for some to go out too.

Start of the Season
So now there is only a few days left to the beginning of the season and the Chelsea supporters I'm sure cannot wait for the beginning of a new era. With most of the squad fully fit, Donnelly has a good selection to choose from to the tough start away at Newcastle. The only key member out of the start of the season is team captain John Terry, who is expected to be out for around three weeks. First of the season away at the Toon with a crowd against you, not many more places more difficult to start a season and a new job. The second of the season is another tough against the physical Stoke who can cause many problems, but having home advantage it will be a big help. To finish off the first month of the season is a second away to newly-promoted Swansea City who will be doing everything to get the points at home. So a reasonable difficult start for Chelsea but one they will believe they can come out on top on, and with the new signings they have available to them aswell as the players the already have, they would like to believe they have enough quality to start the season well.
I don't know if you still need reinforcements, look at these:

GK: Rafael (Santos)
RB: Van der Wiel (Ajax)
CD: Kana-Biyek or Kara (Kara from Trømso, kana-biyek, I dunno)
LB: Pieters (PSV)
DM/CM: Strootman (PSV)
AM: Eriksen (Ajax)
LAM: Luduena
RAM: Labyad (PSV)
ST: Necid

great read so far
some great signings in there. How are you looking to utilise Torres, if it all?
I agree with Rookie, some good signings! I hope you can satisfy the demanding Abramovich. :))
looking good so far . ill definitly be keeping an eye. are you using the new update
August Update

Fixtures
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea- P.Cisse(2)
Chelsea 2-0 Stoke City - F.Lampard(pen), J.Mata
Swansea City 0-0 Chelsea

So based on result's the start to the was mixed with one of every possible result. The positive thing coming from these first three is that the has played the way I set them out to and played very well and keeping the ball very well and creating many chances. Firstly the against Newcastle the played well but didn't create enough clear cut chances and probably a draw would of been a fair result but poor defending from set-pieces has cost the the . Again against Stoke dominated the in the middle and kept the ball very well and deserved the and very unfortunate not to by more than two goals. The final of the month at a very tough Swansea City turned out to be the best has played having many chances and only one against them while having over %60 of the ball but just couldn't take the chances and get the and Swansea were very fortunate. So a promising start to the if you go by the way the plays but once the gel's together more I am sure can go on and achieve good things this .

Transfers(since last transfer update)

Ins
Javi Martinez - Athletic Bilbao - £22 million

Overall Total Spent - £90 million

made only one more signing since just before the first of the and Spaniard Javi Martinez is that man. A very good anchor man who will work hard for the team and has the Spanish keep ball mentality which will help to the style of play wanted by and their coaches. Still a young player and could for any in the , he can become one of the best for what he does on the field. A great addition to the team who will now be looking to kick on as they now know who is in their plans and who is not.

Out
Raul Meireles - - £11 million

Overall Total Sold - £42 million

James Donnelly it seems only had one more player not in his plans and that man was Raul Meireles who made a surprise move back to former club who also made him their second signing this summer from . A quality player who could of been used easily in the but obviously his former Donnelly had other ideas and decided it was best if he moved on. The boss I'm sure will be pleased with the fee he recieved for Raul Meireles but will have to wait till January to spend it if he wishes as Meireles went on the final day of the window and Donnelly had no time to spend it, unless he didn't feel he needed too. So Meireles was the final player from this window to move on from and further his career somewhere else.

Cup Competition Draw's

League Cup Third Round- Hotspurs- Home
European Cup Group Stage- Shaktar Donetsk, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Maccabi Haifa

A tasty looking tie in the league cup, the first round both these teams enter the and they would of both liked a easier tie but as boss Donnelly has said 'we will have to overcome the better sides at some point if we want to win it'. Whoever wins this ties im sure will have an excellent chance of going on and the .

In the European Cup Chelsea have been handed a group they feel could of been worse but still have to overcome difficult tests in both Zenit and Shaktar. All three teams provide bigger travel distances than others in the and maybe a disadvantage but overall will believe this is a group they can come out on top of and advance further on to eventually lift the cup.

Fixtures

Chelsea v Norwich -
Chelsea v Shaktar - European Cup
Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea - Premier League
Chelsea v Tottenham - League Cup
Chelsea v Bolton - Premier
Maccabi Haifa v Chelsea - European Cup

Two tough against seem to be the stand out point in September, with a tough away one at the Lane and a tricky cup tie. Chelsea have two home in the the will expect to take all the points, and two challenging in the European Cup but ones they will expect to come out better. This month could be vital in showing everyone what Chelsea really mean this, and having been playing the football they want, now for the resuts to start going their way too.
yes new update I am using, I was shocked to see got so little funds, so I was pleased that I got the amount I got to spend because I have heard often you don't get more funds when ask usually from Chelsea.
Javi Martinez is a great anchor man, selling Meireles puzzles me though.
September Update

Chelsea 4-0 Norwich - - F.Torres(3), E.Hazard
Chelsea 1-0 Shaktar - European Cup - D.Sturridge
Tottenham Hotspur 1-5 Chelsea - Premier League - F.Torres(2), M.Fellaini, D.Drogba(2)
Chelsea 2-0 - League Cup - D.Drogba, E.Hazard
Chelsea 2-0 Bolton - Premier League - J.Martinez, D.Sturridge
Maccabi Haifa 0-2 Chelsea - European Cup - D.Luiz, E.Hazard

September proved to be an excellent month for Chelsea, winning every game they were involved in. The team hitting form and ending the month top of the table, leading by two points. Fernando Torres had a fine month scoring five goals and with them all being in the league this lead to him winning Premier League player of the month beating his new team mate Eden Hazard to it who came second. A number of netted their first goals for the club and helped them to important victories in all competitions, making a great start to their European Cup campaign and kick starting their title bid. Performances have been brilliant this month and have carried on the performances from August except this time making use of their chances and getting the goals, which have lead to big victories over Norwich and two big derby wins over . Defeating Spurs in the League Cup is great and with teams such as Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Spurs out of the , success in this Cup looks a big possibility. Going into the away game at Maccabi Haifa it was difficult to know what to expect as they made a surprising win over Zenit in their opening European Cup , but a solid performance got the team a good win. Lets hope this form can continue into another tough month, and boss Donnelly can add to his Manager of the Month award he this month. Eden Hazard also won young player of the month aswell as coming second in player of the month.

October Preview

Fixtures
West Brom v Chelsea - Premier League
Chelsea v - Premier League
Zenit v Chelsea - European Cup
Chelsea v Wigan - Premier League
Sunderland v Chelsea - Cup
Man City v Chelsea - Premier League

Starting the month at bottom side West Brom could either be a great game or terrible game as they could either carry on their current form or sort out their act and put in a performance. Two tough game against Liverpool and more so Man City away, but if want to challenge for honours these are we must put in performances and come out of with something. A long journey to Russia to play a challenging Zenit team who will want to earn their first victory in the group will prove a hard game. Drawing Sunderland in the cup away it is a game that probably is one of the tougher games left in the competition after the bigger teams have dropped out and only and Chelsea are left, but Chelsea will go here and will look to extend their cup run.
