Hello, I've only recently started playing FM12 and I'm enjoying it immensely. I decided to do a story with the club I support - Newcastle United.(my first story btw) I do realise that there a load of stories with the same team but I just couldn't not pick my team.

I'm playing this game with LFC Marshall's January update, which means I will have Papiss Cissé in my squad.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has shockingly decided to quit as NUFC manager - for personal reasons. The Board and chairman Mike Ashley have spent weeks looking for Pardew's replacement and have found one in newcomer Craig Braithwaite. The new manager was delighted to join his favourite club and hoped he could take them to the next level just like the fans, the board and everyone involved with the club wanted him to.

In his first press conference, Braithwaite stated that he would try and reshape the club from top to bottom, and that his door would always be open to players that needed to talk to him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The board have asked me to get a top-half finish, something that would be a minimum for a club with the players we've got. I'm going to do a complete overhaul, starting with the coaching staff and physios, and will also try to hire a few more scouts.
Will also try to get 2 players per position I will be using, and will offload some unneeded players such as Shola Ameobi (even though he's a local :/), Leon Best etc.

The board have given me a 10m budget + 800k per week wages.
The tactics I will be using this season are -
1) A 4-2-4 with a BWM-D and a BBM-S, 2 wingers on support, a DLF and AF on attack, FBs on defend.
2) A 4-3-3 or a 4-1-2-2-1 as some of you may know it.
3) A 4-2-3-1 with a DLP-S, A-D, AP-S, two wingers on support and a complete forward on attack.
Also, could anyone guide me through how to get screenshots from the game and upload it?
Another newcastle story!!! war it is my friend!!!

I don't like to overspend too much, but the squad doesn't have too much depth in some areas, and a lack of quality in some others, so I will have to throw some transfers on 48 month installments this time.

Areas that need strengthening
Full Back - Left, Right
We're clearly a bit weak at full back, Ryan Taylor is more of a wing back, and I am thinking of offloading Danny Simpson rather than having him as my first choice, so a lot of buying to do here.

Targets
Mathieu Debuchy
Erik Pieters
Sime Vrsaljko
Nicolai Boilesen

Centre-Back
I will be offloading Williamson so I really need some depth here.
Targets
Jan Vertonghen
Toby Alderweireld
Leonel Galeano
Rafael Toloi
Isaac Vorsah

Centre-Mid
I will be offloading Gosling and Guthrie because I do not believe they are good enough, so I need quite a few midfielders.
Targets
Milan Badelj
Ruben Yttergard Jenssen
Bressan
Siem de Jong

Wingers
If I get a good offer for Guti-how much ever I love him irl-I will sell, and try to buy some younger wingers. HBA in my first game was kind of a flop, and Marveaux is injury prone, Obertan is simply not good enough, so I will need 2-3 wingers.
I do not have any targets at the moment as I'm looking for someone with pace, finishing and crossing ability but can't find anyone. Need some recommendations for these spots.

Strikers
While Ba and Cissé will start for me,Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Best will all be sold, leaving me with no backup.

Targets
Yaya Sanogo
Luuk De Jong

No one else I can think of atm, need some help for a good striker as well.

Williamson has been brilliant for me in my Newcastle save, Along with Santon and Gutierrez( who i want to get rid of), Williamson is still with me in my 4th season all the rest of the players have moved on, he scores alot from corners and a decent backup in my opinon. Not many people like him though. And if you can sign Vrsaljko, hes worth 13 mil in my 4th season and have gotten offers of around 20 mil for him :D
hey mate would be good to see you not sign vrsjalko jsut due to the fact everyone gets him .. and Hatem ben arfa is a quality player who you could build your team around

I played half a season with Newcastle before, and Ben Arfa wasn't that great for me, he was constantly bullied by opponent full-backs and never really got in a position to shoot or cross, but I'll give him a go this time around.
And about Vrsaljko, he's always done a good job for me whenever I've bought him, but I'll get someone else if you know any other good young right/left backs? Alex Sandro was too expensive and Corchia didn't have any intention of joining me. A left back is fine too since I'll just move Santon to right-back instead of left where I initially planned to play him.

Also, anyone know any good all-round strikers? I've been sniffing around Malonga from some Italian club who I think I can get for 2m. Looking for someone with decent pace, heading and finishing (composure also for 1v1s). Dame N'Doye is good all-round but his composure is 8 or thereabouts so can't see him scoring in 1v1s.
If I can't find any good strikers I think I'll just play a 4-1-2-2-1 and rotate Ba and Cissé, maybe play Ba at LW (or AML), but still I need some really good wingers.

I got offered antonio valencia in january in my 1st season and i got him and im so glad i did, he is possibly the best winger i have ever bought in football manager, in 3 season his average rating was 8.23, scored goals and got loads of assists, and he is super super quick and great at crossing

Alright, a change in plans - I've decided to use LFCMarshall's SUMMER UPDATE..which means...say hello to Curtis Good, Gael Birigimana and Romain Amalfitano!

Anyway, due to the new update, we've been given a 17mil budget! ^_^

I've taken accepted to request not to sign Vrsaljko and I've let him join Porto.

I've already made some transfers in and some out but I still need to bring in 2-3 more players.

TRANSFERS IN

Leonardo Bonucci - Juventus - 2.4mil
Great defender, he was transfer-listed and offered to me so I naturally grabbed him up despite his 52k wages.

Matteo Musacchio - Villareal - 4.3mil
Great stats for a 20-year-old. Villareal in this update are in Liga Adelente so all their player values are down and I was able to snap this guy up dirt-cheap.

Juan Roman Riquelme - Free Transfer
Great player who comes in with tons of experience and will also be a great tutor for all the young midfielders coming through the ranks, will ask him to take a coaching job at the end of his 12 month contract.

Clint Dempsey - Fulham - 5m
Great solid winger who has got everything. Decent pace, crossing as well as finishing good enough to cut in and score. Despite being 29 y/o I felt we could benefit from having him in our ranks.

Jose Bosingwa - Free Transfer
Debuchy proved to be too expensive for us and I didn't think Danny Simpson was good enough to be my first choice. Despite not having great stats I think he can do a job for us.

Other Transfers :
Erik Pieters - 3m - PSV
Ruben Yttergard Jenssen - 1m - Tromso
Isaac Vorsah - 3.5m - Hoffenheim
Dominique Malonga - 1.4m - Cesena
Eyong Enoh - 2.5m - Ajax
Matt Phillips - 3m - Blackpool

Transfers out
Fabricio Coloccini - Man City - 10.25m
Jonas Gutierrez - Juventus - 11m

Dan Gosling - Nottingham Forest - 2.5m
Danny Simpson - Southampton - 4m
Ryan Taylor - loan @ QPR - 975k
Shola Ameobi - loan @ Villa - 1m
Xisco, Bigirimana loaned out.
Transfers out
Fabricio Coloccini - Man City - 10.25m
Jonas Gutierrez - Juventus - 11m

They were two of my best players but I let them go as I probably wasn't going to get that kind of offer for them again. I also managed to get some class defenders cheap, ( Vorsah, Bonucci and Musacchio together cost me what City paid for Coloccini).

With Marveaux and Obertan having just joined, I'll can only sell them in Jan.
Right now, on the wings I will be using Ben Arfa, Dempsey, Phillips, Ba as well as those two.

I still need two players though, a first-team centre-midfielder (To give competition to Riquelme) as well as a rotation option at right-back in case Bosingwa doesn't do as well as I hope he will.

Looking at Alan Dzagoev since I've got a bit of money to spend as I've still brought in more money on transfers than I've spent. He's also got a nice juicy stat boost in this update.

Still need a suggestion for a right-back.
Welcome our new signing!

Alan Dzagoev - CSKA Moscow - 9m
Great young and upcoming talent that will certainly strengthen our midfield. Probably more than I wanted to spend but I'm still happy to add him to our squad.
