Jake Bishop Announced As New Manager

Jake Bishop, an unknown sunday league footballer has been announced as the new manager of Manchester United, following the shock retirement of club legend Sir Alex Ferguson. With Ferguson's age and health meaning he could not continue with the club, he called a shock meeting with first team players, and staff members to announce his retirement from football management. The 70 year old Scotsman also asked the board one thing once he leaves the club - that Jake Bishop becomes the next manager.

Despite David Gill trying to send staff members to Spain, in order to try to communicate with Pep Guardiola and Rafa Benitez, the club decided to put their faith in Sir Alex, and offer the job to ex sunday league footballer Jake Bishop, 25.

Jake Bishop began his playing career for his local team, before being signed for Havant & Waterlooville. He then left the club to rejoin his local team, and played for them until the age of 24, when he picked up an injury that ended his career. Jake Bishop has been known for his style of management, and success within football managerial games, particularly Football Manager 12, and it is believed that is how he was discovered.

Jake has been a Manchester United fan all his life, so there are little doubts about whether the job offer will be accepted. If he does accept the role, he will be given £18.5 million to spend in the Summer transfer window.

Manchester United 7-2 Atletico Madrid

Hernandez 3,52
Rooney 12
Young 19
Nani 31, 79
Cleverley 83

Merida 42
Pedro 60

Nani (MU) 9.5

A brilliant start to pre-season for Bishop's Boys, with a great win, and an oustanding performance from many players, especially Cleverley and Hernandez. Jake will surely use this game as a constant boost for the next few games.

You have just started this, so I would suggest you stop and download the 2012 update to include the likes of Kagawa, Henriquez and Powell into the team. Of course, you might already have done it, so no problem then.
But I would hate for you to realize one game-season later than you could've had a more accurate team.

Thanks for the advice, I will soon do that. However, to avoid repitition, I am starting with a different team:
