Signings
Overall, I made 5 signings for the club, but didn't sell anyone. I wanted all the players to have a chance throughout the season to show me why they should stay, and if they don't perform, next season they go. Same with the staff too, so no new staff or staff leaving.
My first signing was
Craig Gordon. He was a free agent, and I needed one more back-up goalkeeper. I have also seen United buy him with this update when I was other teams, who he must perform fairly well. Anyway, if he doesn't work out, I might be able to make a small profit from him.
My next signing was
Lucas Moura. I needed one more main man in the midfield to go along side Kagawa. I felt Cleverley wouldn't be able to perform every week, and he will be used often still when others are tired. The youth stars wouldn't be at a high enough standard to play every week either. I got him from Sao Paulo for £21 million. I would have liked him for a bit less, but let's hope he's worth every penny with his potential.
My third signing was
Nathaniel Clyne. Another free agent, he seems like a top young star for the future, and I could help him out on a few loans in the January window. I am planning on playing him a few times at the right back position, to see what he is currently like. For a freebie, if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but nothing is lost.
I then bought two youngsters, both from Chivas,
Erick Torres and
Carlos Fierro. Both are tipped to be amazing stars, and I decided to risk it. Spending £3.9 million on Erick Torres, I was quite happy to get Fierro for just £1.2 million, although he will not officially join until the Summer 2012 transfer window. Both strikers, I hope they can smash home many goals for the club.
