Firstly, I know their are plenty of stories on how they're getting back into Europe but i've tried to make mine different before you click away from my story,
1- I'm using the Summer update patch and will be including Youth in my such as; Sterling, Suso and Wilson for example.
2- I'll be trying to make signings which people wouldn't usually expect me or any other person to make, e.g unknown or youth and fairly average I intend to help perform on the big European stage.
3- My challenge isn't to conquer Europe, that's just a side story, my challenge is to over take and become the most sucessful in EPL history, and claim more titles than them. (Being a Utd fan myself, I feel rather dirty hahaha.)

So if you would like to stay, then.. Read on, If not then you can leave, but it's your loss, Also, This is my 2nd attempt and im using this story as writing practice for future stories on FM2012, and in the not so distant future FM2013.

Breaking News - Joseph McHale replaces King Kenny as Chief

First day in Charge

Today, It was the day I took charge of one of the most sucessful clubs in European and English football, I was the talk of all shows be it the radio or Sky Sports.

But there was no time for me to listen to how people were debating on whether I could bring sucess the likes of Bob Paisley could to once again, I had to get down to buisness, The transfer window had opened just a few weeks ago and I had only a month to strengthen my to bolster my Europe and bid.

Transfer Talk

I was intrested in a number of clients, and my hard-working scouts had been out and compiled profiles on each and everyone of my targets to benefeit and improve my decisions.

Scouting Profile #1: Victor Moses

I think that this young lad had a lot of talent and a bright future ahead of him, I also felt as though my lacked tenacity, pace and flair down the wings of my , with Stewart Downing being inconsitent, Bellamy fairly injury-prone and Joe Cole beginning to come into his 30's and possibly peaking and beginning to regress as a footballer. I sent Ian Barrigan a quality scout to monitor and report back to me on Victor, He told me he believed Victor could become a Leading star for most EPL teams, that he would be a excellent addition to the and was a more quality player than Joe Cole and Borini who could have been chosen as an option on the wing.

Scouting Profile #2: Wilfried Zaha

I didn't feel the need or even want a scout to report back to me on this young lad, Having been a Palace for 9 years I witnessed the entrance of Zaha into the club and the amazing amounts of progression the had made since joining Crystal Palace, I made an offer of 5.7m pounds which was swiftly rejected from the side, I instantly made an arrangement to speak to Dougie Freedman, Palace and Simon Jordan the Crystal Palace chairmen, I took my assitant Kevin Keen to help with negotiations. After a long-drawn out process we agreed a deal of 7.5m with Zaha returning to Palace for a season-long loan after 9 hours of negotiations, however 2 hours were spent reminiscing as I had built a great friendship with both Dougie and Simon whilst I spent time with the Club as a Coach.
I was already eagerly anticipating the arrival of Zaha, With a year to wait to see him in .

Scouting Profile #3: Jack Rodwell

Jack Rodwell has always been a great holder of the and quality , and to me he was the perfect fit to fill the gap in the centre of my , However, I knew obtaining this services would be extremely hard due to the rivalry between the two clubs. Also, my scouts informed me that the may be de-motivated and angered to bring in a rival player to the club as he represents the Everton on such a major scale our may not wish to have Jack at the club. So i soon broke down even the thought of negotiations and began to look elsewhere as entertainment and keeping the loyal happy and on-board is what I look for most as a .

Scouting Profile #4: Ivan Rakitic

This croatian playmaker was a suggestion from my Argentininan scout Diego Caniggia,
He explained his opinion of the player, who I had such little knowledge about, So I sent him to Seville to scout the player, He returned with notes, and evidence and the ability, Explaining he thought he would be available for less than 10 million pounds and would be a quality name on the team-sheet. After reading through his notes and 2 hours of watching evidence of the central , I myself even felt as though he was a must in my to the ball out wide or feed Gerrard and Suarez through the centre and hoped to lure the player to my .

Managerial Debut 28/06/12 - Europe 3rd Qual

It was the day of my debut, My first opportunity to show and skeptics what I had to offer.

began brilliantly, Lucas Lieva and Stewart Downing created a great partnership, which lead to a from a great ball through to Downing from Lucas who played the ball across the 6-yard box for Steven Gerrard to tap home after just 10 minutes, No less than 5 minutes later Gerrard popped up again from 25 yards out, on the end of a wonderful back heel from Downing. From then on my just controlled the and held by far the majority of posession, The only way I could fault my teams performance would be the quality of the finishing, Only 6 from 14 shots hit the target and only 2 goals were , Shooting practice took place the next training session with the Boys, Downing particularly impressed taking Man of the along with Lucas and Gerrard, 59th minute substitutes Fabio Borini and Jordan Henderson also played well once brought on.

My career as began very well, My first month in the EPL and I had been voted as Manager of the Month I hope there is plenty more to come, Craig Bellamy came a close fought 2nd in EPL player of the month, However in my own personal view Jamie Carragher has been my personal Player of the Month with stand out performances in the EPL and Europa . , I manage to negotiate a deal and contract with Sevilla and Rakitic and secure the playmaker for just 8 million. Nathan Redmond was a last minute deal suggested to me by Kevin Keen my assistant , He held the young english in high regard and believed he could be a quality player in the future.

Not a good month by any standards, back to back loses to the hands of , a 3-all draw with the likes of Sunderland, Only bright areas are the 4-2 against Villa and two wins in the Europa groups leaving me top of my table and looking likely to progress further. Curently lying 4th within the table 5 points from 1st and 3 points from 2nd so it isn't to bad to have had the bad month now, while I still have the chance to make amends, due to the standard of performances I've decided to select no player for my personal Player of the month.

October started off strongly for me and my , Downing and Gerrard particularly impressed. 11 Goals from 3 matches in first and after that my team seemed to become over confident and become complacent in the against Fulham and West Ham. But my team lie 4th in the EPL however are equal on points with a game in hand, but i'm only 3 points behind 3rd place. Qualification to the final stages of the Europa was imminent with 2 in hand and only needing a point. Stewart Downing collected the EPL Player of the Month award with some outstanding performances and gained my personal away of Player of the Month.
Out of your four transfer targets, Jack Rodwell is probably the best one. Shame you can't get him. Try getting Victor Moses and selling Downing.
i beleive the signing of rakitic is a great move . well done with that and i also love the fact that u havnt bought the players everyone buys.

ill definitly be reading keep it up

If you can replace your wingers, Moses would work well, but the must buy option here is Rakitic. He will fit right in!
Talking about Diego Caniggia, his stats are rubbish, sack him and get a new scout
When you post about matches, aside from your description, post the actual result separately or in boldface. In case I don't feel like reading the entire description of the match, I can skim through and see the result at least, eh?

I'm gonna continue with matches with just text, e.g Liverpool 2 - Stoke - 1 - Gerrard, 1 Suarez 1,
fit more games in show fixtures of each month, just felt like giving a more detailed result on the basis it was my debut :)

Fairly average month, although the 1-1 draw with Everton wasn't ideal I found a sense of happiness in the fact I played with Gerrard up top due to having no outright striker with Pacheco, Borini, Suarez and Bellamy all injured, This was also the case for the West Brom match in which my team dominated possession and had a 2-0 win to show for it, In other news my loanee to Aston Villa came 1st in EPL Player of the Month, My personal choice of Player of the Month would be Lucas Lieva who held the midfield brilliantly through out and scored 2 vital goals in November.

Despite the loss to over-achieving Southampton and to Arsenal, December wasn't a bad month, Dani Pacheco ceased on his opportunity up-front with 6 goals in 6 games, and earned my personal Player of the Month, We currently lie 4th still in the table and have closed the points down with Chelsea's games in hand leaving them only able to come joint in the table if they win their next 2 games. I have drawn CSKA Moscow in the Europa League 1st KO Round which I hope I am able to progress through.

January Transfer Talk

In january I had three targets who had all been listed for transfer due to unhappiness at their current club,

Jan Target #1: Aaron Ramsey

I look to bring Ramsey in as I am looking to offload Aquilani and Adam whilst City have made an initial offer of 13 million for Lucas Lieva which I have negotiated to 20 million, and believe the Welsh midfielder would fit the bill perfectly as a starting 11 or a back up central midfielder as in case I looked for a stronger central midfielder for now and looked towards Henderson and Ramsey for the future.

Jan Target #2: Kyle Walker

I've always been a fond admirer of the England international his breath taking pace is a major factor of his excellent game, I'm not feeling too clever about Glen Johnson either I feel he makes far too many mistakes however with no back up right back at the club I have no choice but to make him first-11, With last seasons PFA Player of the Year there challenging for his place he will provide more than suitable back up and maybe make Johnson book his ideas up and work on his game to make sure he's a dead cert at right back.

Jan Target #3: Tim Krul

Tim Krul has excellent reflexes and can win a one on one 8 times out of 10 with the best off attackers, I feel as though Doni is not suitable to provide cover for a keeper of Pepe Reina's stature, Tim Krul would be more than enough and due to his listed status would be available at a knock down price, He also could come to take the reigns away from Reina in the future if he progresses into the World class keeper I expect he can do.

League Table

January was a good month, my squad are currently 4th in the table and are edging away for a secure 4th position from , A number of were up for awards Sebastian Coates won EPL Young Player of the Month, Whilst Kyle Walker, Luis Suarez and Martin Skrtel came 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the EPL Player of the Month award, Even I myself came 3rd in of the month which I was overjoyed with. My personal choice of Player of the Month has to go to Sebastian Coates who put in a number of stand out performances whilst I left Daniel Agger out of the starting 11 due to a lack of form and lack of fitness.

January Transfer News

In:
Aaron Ramsey - 10.75m
Kyle Walker - 9m (3m over 24 months)
Tim Krul - 7m (4m over 12 months)
Adam Johnson - Loan 1.5m (View of 3.5m to Purchase)

Out:
Stewart Downing - Loan 6m (View of 10m to Purchase)
Dani Pacheco - Loan 1m
Paul Robinson - Loan 1m
Charlie Adam - 4.5m

I am very pleased with my buisness in the market this month, I believe all 3 are good for the squard now and could be world class in a few years with Aaron holding my future , Adam Johnson is a class left who I rate very highly and will look to take advantage of the future buy fee once some funds become available, Krul will be back-up for now rotating between easy matches and Cup .
Kyle Walker I am overjoyed with already after his instant impact in all games earning himself Player of the Month in the EPL. I'm extremely pleased with the sale of Downing and hope he performs well enough for Schalke to help them offer the final 10m to make the deal permanent.

UPDATE

Sorry people, about the old league tables, my image site became corrupted and I lost all of the league images links!!!, really sorry hope it doesnt matter to most of you but to those that it does I apologise.

February was a good month 'outside' of the , through to the 2nd KO Rnd in the Europa League and the 6th Rnd of the F.A Cup, However within the league it was 1 win 2 draws and a loss from 4 matches however my team are still 4th within the league by 5 points over however Arsenal are 6 points ahead in 3rd with 2 games in hand, However there were some positives... Raheem Sterling seemed to step up and show incredible signs of progress within this month with some excellent performances earning him EPL Young Player of the Month and my personal choice of Player of the Month.

Extremely dissapointed with this month, Not one player stood out and all performed abysmally, I havent chose a personal Player of the Month for the simple reason that nobody deserved it, Still 4th in the league but out of the Europa at just the 2nd Rnd, was heading through on away goals until Jamie Carragher gave away an 83rd minute penalty, Out of the FA Cup to QPR which is really dissapointing and all player performed well below par.

April was a really pleasing month, despite the 3-0 loss to Man Utd, I was awarded Manager of the Month and my team secured a Champions League spot, I'm hoping Arsenal slip up and I can take the 3rd spot from them but for now my team are playing very well, Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger came 1st and 2nd in the EPL Player of the Month. Whilst Kyle Walker and Aaron Ramsey came 1st and second in the EPL Young Player of the Month. This month my personal Player of the Month has to go to Ramsey who has come in the squad due to an injured Gerrard and stepped up to the plate and performed very, very well.

Transfer Update

Joe Cole and Jose Bosingwa have both agreed to leave the club in the summer Joe Cole in a 3.5m deal to Tottenham whilst Bosingwa leaves on a free to Fenerbache, Jose Campana has agreed to join on a free from Sevilla in the summer and I'm currently in pursuit Isco, an attacking midfielder from Malaga who looks like he has the potential to replace Steven Gerrard over the next couple of seasons, He is transfer listed by request and has told the press it would be a 'dream move' to be at a club like Liverpool.
