Sheffield Continues!

After an AMAZING season we were crowned champions of the npower League 1. Plus, we won the JPT :)
The city of Sheffield celebrated (also because Sheffield United.) And here is a little picture from our celebrations:

But still, we can't just sit back and relax. Our next season is going to be in the npower Championship, and this is a whole new level. So our next goal is to build a new and improved squad.

Transfers 2012/2013

For this season I got 7 million euros for transfers. With this money I want to build a decent premier league squad, and a leading Championship squad. Also, I want the new squad to be young (as always..).
Transfers:

Out: as you can see, except Ahmed Soukona everyone was sold because they lacked the quality of playing in the Championship league, and i needed money for the new squad.

In: Most of our transfers were free, but we also spent money on several quality players.

The new squad!

OK, so here is the list of Sheffield's new starting 11. enjoy :)

Goalkeeper - Joe Lewis

Right Wing Back - Danny Simpson

Central Defender - Thomas Fontaine

Central Defender - Kevin Gomis

Left Wing Back - Brahim Ferradj

Central Midfielder - Danny Drinkwater

Central Midfielder - Michael O'Connor

Right Winger - Panagiotis Kone

Left Winger - Davide De Gennaro

Striker - Sam Baldock

Striker - Ahmed Soukouna

Tactic

The tactic will stay as the one from last season:

PreSeason

We played only two games at the pre season but still, we got a chance to evaluate the new squad.

Bradford - Sheffield Wednesday

Perfect game. Our fresh striker, Sam Baldock, scores on his first minute at Sheffield :)

Crystal Palace - Sheffield Wednesday

With this kind of performances, I would say that we are going to have a great season :)

Next Update - Championship here we come!!
It is very interesting how you revamped your entire squad - well, at least it's not the same as other Football Manager stories! I am keen to see how your new-look team does in the Championship, hopefully you'll achieve promotion. I think the very least you'll get is the playoffs!
great 1st season man! nice squad for the nxt season as well.. keep it up and go win in championship and a promotion..
yea, i usually don't like changing whole squads like that, but it had to be done.
there is no way your players will be match fit with just 2 games in preseason ? i usually arrange 9 or 10 games
yea. i concentrated on the signings and didn't arranged enough friendlies.. but im hoping for good results :)

The season begins!

After building a new squad and winning both of our preseason games, we are ready for the season.
Here are the games we played thus far:

As you can see our squad is playing amazingly. We won all of our games, and the future looks good.
This is the table right now:

Also, it's worth to mention the Carling Cup. We reached the semi-finales after wining Oldham, and 4 Premier League teams! (West Brom, Wigan, Leicester and even sunderland)

Change of direction?

Although things are going very well with Sheffield, one of the strongest clubs in the world sacked their manager and I applied for the job.

The club is:

Chelsea F.C

It's too soon to know if I will get the job. The reason Chelsea sacked their manager is that they were beaten by Rochdale in the Carling Cup, and their position in the league is only 7th.
Here is the PL table:

I really love managing Sheffield but the point of the story is that Bruce Wayne will be a top manager, and for being a top manager he need's to play at the top teams.

That's it for today guys. Please comment more because right now it seems like there are barely readers to my story. Also, include in your comment if you think that moving to Chelsea will be a smart move for Bruce or not.

There are more than enough readers for your story, I assure you.
I think Chelsea is a good option story-wise, but not game-wise. This gives your story main-stream interest. People who can't be bothered to remember the likes of Danny Drinkwater will not care of him he scores for Sheffield Wednesday, but a Torres hat-trick for Chelsea will impress them. I say 'not game-wise' because you obviously have the talent to get wins with your tactics. Move to Chelsea and you will keep winning day-in, day-out. That will surely get boring soon enough.

I will keep reading. :)

thanks man! right now i think i will go to Chelsea if they will want me.

Make Sheffield one of the best teams in the world :D!

A new direction!

After an amazing time in Sheffield Wednesday, Bruce Wayne was appointed as the new manager of Chelsea.

Goals for the season

- Get to at least third place in the end of the season
- Reach the Quarter Finales of the Euro Cup
- Reach the Semi Finales of the FA Cup

Club overview

After taking a good look at the squad I saw that the previous manager brought 4 important players for chelsea:

Dmytro Chygrynskyi - Defender

Dejan Lovren - Defender

Douglas Costa - Attacking Midfielder

Ezequiel Lavezzi - Attacking Midfielder

All of those players, in addition to the usual super players of chelsea: torres, mata, ramirez.. How are they only in the 8th place? Well, I will change that.

Transfers

The players that got out :

Ivanovic was old so we selled him. Same thing with Alex . Ross Turnbull wasn't needed so he left too. the rest are just expired contracts.

The players the got in :

As I said, Lovren, Lavezzi, Costa and Chygrynskyi were bought by the last manager. I brought ter-Stegen from Gladbach to be our new goalkeeper, and Rafael from United to be our young right back.

Tactic

This is the tactic we will play most of the time:

I don't think there is much to explain here.

Season 2012/2013

These are all of my games with Chelsea this season:

We played in 3 competitions this season:

The FA Cup

Until the 5th round everything was simple. But from there we started to face tough opponents.

What a good team! We secured our first title for the season and for my time in Chelsea!

The Europa League

Same here, until the quarter finales we had weak opponents. But from there it got better.

Another title in this great great season!

The Premier League

Since I arrived the team has been performing great and that's why in the end of the season that was the table:

We managed to get back into the game and steal the championship from City by one point!!

Summery

I had a perfect season with Chelsea and we won the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA cup.

I also need to give credit to Fernando Torres. The fantastic player scored 36 goals in 29 games, and also gave 11 assists and won 9 man of the match. I decided to make him the captain for next season. He deserve it.

For my next season I will try to build a young squad from Chelsea and compete in the Champions League.

Also, Sheffield Wednesday finished in the first place in the npower Championship and got promoted to the Premier League even without me. We will look forward to face them in the league.

By the way, the reason I am updating whole seasons in one update is because in the game I am already in season 2014/2015 so I'm trying to catch up with the game.

Hope you enjoyed, please comment your opinion on the story :)
I have added Transfers to the update. forgot it yesterday. Read enjoy and comment!
I'm loving this story!! Adding the bit in about Bruce Wayne was a nice touch. I think you should have stayed on at Sheffield Wednesday though- it would be great if you got them to the Premier League.

They finished champions in the npower Championship and got promoted to the Premier League with the squad that I built for them. So you can say that I achieved promotion to the Premier League with Sheffield :)
