The Hotspurs

Hey guys, due to the lack of Tottenham stories I've decided to pick up a new team and try to bring my foreign customs into their traditional football... Sort of how Ancelotti, Capello and Mancini did in the past years. Now, let's get straight to summer signings!

The few, but good

Brought in with the valued price bid, I forget what it was... 8-10m. But his payrolls really above average, although he's proved to be a pillar for my game thus a well deserved pay roll.

Nothing really needs to be said, he is who he says he is... A Legend.

A highly recommended striker, his finishing is insanely high and never lets down. A really good signing, which costed me the record fee of 20m £... The highest fee recorded in the clubs story as of yet.

Van der wiel, one of the best RBs in the game (although as of late I feel I was more in need of an LB lol) either way, this boy never gets an avg.rating below 7.5 and always plays hard.

Strategies and Set up

Here's the cinch; I will be spicing up this story with something new - Bale is going to be placed as a striker, I changed all his training regimes and intensified them - atm in my story his red dot has died down of color and is a bit more brown - a good sign, he'll be green upfront in no time.

Formation 4-1-2-3

GK - Gomes
LB - Assou-Ekotto
LCB - Gallas
RCB - Vertoghen
RB - Van der Wiel
CDM - Parker
LCM - Modric
RCM - Van der Vaart
LST - Bale
ST - Huntelaar
RST - Defoe

Bench:
Del Piero
Adebayor
Lennon
Huddlestone
Dawson
Naughton
Cudicini

Reserves
Sigurosson
Walker
dos Santos
Sandro

I rotate mostly the forwards, but Bale is almost always a key 11 player upfront, he's just getting used to the new position, but he dishes out a good amount of assists into the box. Modric and Van der Vaart are the 2nd most important part of my play, the dominate the midfield and link the ball up to the strikers to complete their job and finish the play.

Trophies won so far

Let's keep this for the future, this way I can showcase back to the first page once I will be awarded from my success.

All friendlies were won, and I qualified for the UEFA league... Results for the EPL matches played coming soon!
Bale as forward? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of purchasing Huntelaar? Let's hope you do well. Good luck.
Also, do I get a cookie for commenting?

now on LOL.
He broke a EPL goal record held by another one of the clubs
players - 6 goals in a game by Adebayor against Fulham,
before him; Huntelaar 5 goals against Southampton lol.

I'm putting Sandro, Walker and Sigurosson back in the team now I haven't been giving them too much playing space so... Yeah. Oh and we're in November 2011 right now (still unbeaten).

GOD, that was alot of copy and pasting. Ok, now that I did a quick update of all the matches I played while my internet was off, I can go a bit slower now and update month by month... Sorry for the wall of text, hope it wasn't so hard to digist as it was for me to type up ^^

Can't have a man of the month, so I'll have a "Man of the early season"... Adebayor! He's a goal machine.
Adebayor that good? Wow.

And you're playing with 3 strikers up front, eh? I think I'm going to start trying out that tactic. My only problem is that I don't know if I have enough strikers :P

Maybe I'll start a new save to try it. It seems to be working quite well for a lot of people. What is Adebayor's Role and Duty?
As for Akash, since I use 3 strikers having Bale upfront doesn't mean that Huntelaar was a wasted transfer, the more the better! Since I'm in 3 competitions anyhow.

And Gurdit, Yes Adebayor is a sexy beast all he does is score doubles and hatricks back to back. 3 strikers is the best if you want to score as many goals as possible, because yeah 2 or 1 strikers can get teh job done, but on those days that your players aim is off you'd rather take 30 shots at goal, 10 on target and score 3-4, then only take 15 at goal, 4 on target and only score 1-2 (maybe).

As for Role and Duty... Just a deel lying forward I guess, CF or Poacher works good too (I change often) He's the "Camper" in CoD terms lol.

(Cup match - Away) Bournemouth 0 - 6 Tottenham

Win
Adebayor 26' 34' 91'
Huntelaar 41' 58'
van der Vaart 45'
And with that Adebayor is now the highest scorer in the current FA Cup competition, with 8 goals.

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 4 - 1 Manchester City

Win
Del Piero 37'
Defoe 57'
Huntelaar 77' 87'
I win and match Mancini gets fired! Hahaha! P.s. Still first in the EPL (Liverpool is 2 points away though)

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 3 - 1 AZ

Win
Adebayor 18' 94'
Sandro 69'

Man of the month (Obviously)

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/09/16/article-1213956-0671EDF1000005DC-899_468x316.jpg
He's on fireeeee

next post is going to be December and maybe Jan too (tho i doubt ill be bringing in any more transfers... maybe a gk?)
I have used Adebayor for one season and he was a legend. But I heard he starts to dip in form in about three-four seasons, I don't know because I have never used him for that long, but I heard anyway.

Good story, I'll be following this. Interesting how you plan to turn Bale into a striker.
In 3 to 4 seasons I'm hoping to have even better strikers haha. But thanks :)

December

(EPL - Away) Arsenal 0 - 2 Tottenham

Win
Andrè Santos OG 17'
Sigurosson 86'
Another unexpected win, although without Van Persie... Not much of a threat anymore.

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 3 - 1 Stoke

Win
Huntelaar 3'
Adebayor 8'
Red Card for Adebayor 47'
Defoe 76'
Ugh, Red carded Adebayor and injured Bale for 6 weeks... Good thing I have more than a few options for up top. Could have scored a few more since both Bale and Del Piero hit the post during the game >_> but it's
ok, now I'm leading the EPL by 3 points away from ManU.

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 3 - 0 Liverpool

Win
Huntelaar 37'
Defoe 51'
Del Piero 62'
Motm: Modric

(UEFA League - Away) Valladolid 1 - 3 Tottenham

Win
Huntelaar 25'
Defoe 35'
Adebayor 46'
This concludes the UEFA League Group Stage with Tottenham leading at 18 points, good job boys make them fear us.

And I fish out Olympique Lyon for the first europa knockouts... While everyone else gets piss easy clubs, thanks alot!

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 3 - 0 West Brom

Win
Huntelaar 5' 33' 82'
Months not even over yet, but he's sure to be man of the month for sure!

(EPL - Away) Newcastle 0 - 3 Tottenham

Win
Defoe 17'
Huntelaar 51' 81'
Huntelaar displays all his arsenal, meanwhile... Adebayor gets nominated
for the Baloon D'or lol!

(EPL - Away) Norwich 1 - 5 Tottenham

Win
Del Piero 6'
Adebayor 24' 70' 77'
Huntelaar 43'
He's back ladies and gentleman... And triggers his 15 goal clause, earning an extra 1.8m £ xD damnit!

(EPL - Home) Tottenham 1 - 1 Swansea

Draw
van der Vaart 53'
Vorm man of the match, he simply closed every opportunity down... Damn them. Well this concludes the month of December, with the Spurs crowned as the winter kings, 53 points in 1st, Man Utd 47 in 2nd, Liverpool 39
in 3rd... Yess!!

Man of the month, due to some troubles

http://static.blogo.it/calcioblog/huntelaar_milan.jpg
Man of the month? Huntelaar, because he kept the wins coming after Adebayor
was suspended for 2 matches (since we all know how aggressive he can be,
he probably deserved to be sent off lol)

Oh and here's the league table, with me on top at the end of the winter season:
