help please, signing decent players?

hi

first of all i am using the team fulham in the premiership and i couldnt sign any players at all! no one wants to sign which i think is so unrealistic as players that play for fulham currently have absolutley no intersest in signing for me which makes the game completley unplayable, so to help myself i edited the dattabase to pick a player of my choice to help me a tiny bit and i picked david beckham whos freekicks are rated at 19.

when he takes a freekick he almost never shoots and it frustrates me so much as his freekicks are so good, i have to set him to use longballs and he never does it.

i have played three quarters of the season and i have got fulham into 4th place which aint so bad but im in desperate need of singing some half decent semi named strikers.... but NO ONE will sign for me its so annoying and unrealistic. how can i progress at all if i cant sign anyone.

does anyone have any recognisable names that will sign for me i can find before i lose it and just edit the database to get some good players?

i cant afford to buy any of those players mentioned as fulham wont allow me the budget :/. does anyone know why beckham keeps passing the ball on free kicks its driving me insane
