I'm not going to try, just include the link. This analysis is something else, and shows how little we get about this model still. What worries me is, what in the world is FM going to do to represent the FFP rules, when the calculation involves details that are not broken out even in the teams' public reports, which are far more detailed than the financial data FM presents us with... or is the right answer not to bother with it at all?

I think they will implement to some extent or they should,

however the Germans (or their leagues in perticular) have had financial ruling's regarding something similar to FFP but on a national scale for some time now, but this has not been implemented into football manager to my knowledge. So its quite possible they could follow this trend.
People have focused on the possible "death penalty" type penalty, where the club is just kicked out of Europe entirely. But that's a last resort, and I don't see a Chelsea actually minding if the first year it matters the calculation is "okay, you missed by 2m, so that's a 2m fine". "okay, here's your checque, thanks". But it seems even more likely the outcome is: "you missed, but we see you're making progress year over year - you went from -100m to -50m to -20m, so no problem". There are enough other complex formulae in FM that this could be coded for, but it would perhaps be a risk to try before we see how it's actually played out in real life. Ah, well.
I suppose, but I think if football manager added this feature or limitation, then it would mean certain people, (not myself) but I know others who would not find the game as fun because they can't spend large amounts of money non-stop. But with it being such a big thing, maybe there will be an introduction of this system for the feb patch, or fm 13...
Im a hugh fan of this uefa financial fair play licenses because it gave smaller countries and teams a change in europeaan competitions. For instance for now countries like Belgium or even the netherlands have i hard time in the european competions. It will even be possible to (in time) keep the best players in their own competions and not like it is now that the best players are gone after one or maybe 2 seasons it will also give us more possibility to give more taught and importance to youth academies because that will be the first resource for teams to get players. Like i said the UEFA Financial Fair Play is about long overdue in my mind
