I'm been reading and following these boards for a while and am quite curious when I read the various posts and stories.

How long does it take you in real time to finish a season?
How many seasons do you normally play?
How do you play matches - highlights, real-time, etc?

I'm just floored by folks who have progressed 20+ years and maybe its just that I'm so new to this game, but I'm curious what folks think.
How long does it take you in real time to finish a season?
Depends on my workload. When I was younger and could play FM say without having to worry for a job or my family, I could finish a season within a week. Nowadays I have a job and a wife so I managed to complete a season of FM12 within a month. It's also a matter of how addicted you are; I mean I've heard people doing a whole season in 2 days, even though I'm not sure if they 'holiday-ed' certain matches.

How many seasons do you normally play?
I hate regens so there's no way I can keep going with a single save game for more than 10 years. My personal record is 8 seasons with Redditch United. Normally I play 3-4 seasons on average before starting a new save-game.

How do you play matches - highlights, real-time, etc?
I always play matches in highlights-only mode, but switch to extended during pre-season when I'm trying out new formations. I've never played a match in real-time mode.
How long does it take you in real time to finish a season?

It takes me usually a day of gameplay to finish a season, although it has increasing became longer as I am getting into doing more and more tactical tweaks per match, as well as my attention to scouting that is far too extensive.

How many seasons do you normally play?

I go until I get bored, so about 6. Although some reach 4 and some reach 8-9. I unlike stam enjoy the regens to some extent although thing is you need to basicly re-learn your entire football knowledge with regens and that aspect is very hard.

How do you play matches - highlights, real-time, etc?

Key highlights - and 2 D camera most of the time as I am usually busy on my laptop with many windows, and aplications open
How long does it take you in real time to finish a season?
- When I first got the game, it was around 2-3 days because FM was the only thing I had, but now with a hectic life, I finish one season in around 15-20 days (Depends on how many competitions the team is participating in).

How many seasons do you normally play?
- I always aim at 20, but have never even reached close. I think 10 was my record with Eastleigh.

How do you play matches - highlights, real-time, etc?
- Key highlights, Match speed is a little above half and a proper 3-D camera.
How long does it take you in real time to finish a season?
- I get very bored after playing with FM for only a few hours so unlike the hardcore FM-ers I can't complete seasons within a week or anything. I usually take around 2-3 weeks to complete a season.

How many seasons do you normally play?
- I only have had a few saves so I can't say how many seasons I "normally play". The only "completed saves" that I have(the ones that I won't touch anymore) are a United save that ran until 2014 and a Liverpool save that ran until 2016. I always want to go at least 10 seasons but have not got close yet.

How do you play matches - highlights, real-time, etc?
- Key highlights with match speed a little below the fastest.
