HAJDUK BOSS LEADS CROATIA TO 100% WIN IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP GROUPS
CROATIA 1-0 RUSSIA - PARIS
GERMANY 0-2 CROATIA - TOMBLAINE
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 1-2 CROATIA - TOMBLAINE
Ante Vukuši?, Duje ?op, and frankly most of the Champions League winning squad starred as Russia drew blanks against the spectacular Matej Dela?. Duje ?op scored the first of his goals in the 30th minute, a surprisingly sturdy Croatia defense, with Matej Jonji? of Hajduk Split, and Roberto Pun?ec of Real Madrid made up for the attacking wings. It were the Russians who dominated though, and, with the result, it looks like they could fall out of the Championship early.

The German match was, however far more convincing. Ante Vukuši? scored the opener, as Croatia looked for the standard wing-attacks. And, even though Šime Vrsaljko was sent off at the half, Hajduk target (who instead moved to Sevilla), Nikola Kalini? scored the second goal, as Croatia (or rather Hajduk) simply kept playing like they had been. Germany didn't stand a chance.

And finally, Croatia faced Bosnia, as Ante Vukuši? popped up again, before Duje ?op (which rather went as an own-goal) scored the second goal. This was, however, after Semir Stili? scored the opening goal for 1-0. It wasn't enough though. 2-1 for Croatia was the end result, and it left Bendiš satisfied.

MEANWHILE... IN SPLIT
Hajduk look to have started a few contract negotiations with some huge names in Croatian and world football, as the Champions League holders look to the present, having already secured the future.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS TAKE DOWN SERBIA
CROATIA 2-0 SERBIA - MARSEILLE
Duje ?op scored two goals in the last ten minutes, as the Serbians fell apart late. It was, however, the Hajduk game: rush the wings, get the ball to the middle. And, again, it was Ton?i Kuko? who made Croatia look good. But this time, it wasn't just Kuko?. This time, it was Duje ?op, who popped up twice, not just once, but twice, and, although Serbia was strong in defense: captained by Dortmund stalwart, Neven Suboti?, it was Jonji? and Roberto Pun?ec (Real Madrid) who were the strongest.

It was, by far, one of the most physical, aggressive clash ever seen by the two largest rivals in Europe. But Luke Smart (England) didn't show a single card, leaving the two giants to duke it out... leaving the match to divulge into something more of a wrestling match then a football match, but, Croatia, or rather Hajduk +Pun?ec, took it into stride. And when Serbia finally tired, late, late into the game, Duje ?op broke their enormous hearts, and showed Europe why he was one of the best target men in the game, netting two, one in the 83rd, and one in the 87th to send Croatia into the quartfinals, to face Holland.

MEANWHILE... IN PARIS
Bendiš drove ahead to the next match, before the team, to hold final contract discussions at the Hotel Bristol. See, the reason it was important that the Hajduk boss met with the Holland team is that, according to some sources, Hajduk is in advanced contract negotiations with former Holland captain, Robin van Persie, who looks to be set to join the Champions League holders for their treble defense.
Also seemingly on the radar: Ivan Periši? and Ivan Džoni. If Džoni joins, it will be at a cut price, as Hajduk have a 50% of next sale clause in his transfer. Ivan Periši? has been playing in Bruges since 2009, and hasn't lived in Split since leaving Hajduk in 2006, without a single appearance to his name. Karlo Težak looks to be leaving on loan, again, to Solin, who have gotten promoted to the Croatian First Division

CROATIA TURN OFF HOLLAND IN THE CITY OF LIGHTS
CROATIA 3-1 HOLLAND - PARIS
Matej Jonji? opened up the scoring off a free-kick, before Wesley Sneijder evened it out from Bendiš's only weakness: long shots, before the halftime closed both teams out for 1-1. The second half, however, was far more convincing for the Croatians, as they deservedly went to town on the Dutch.

And it was an all-Hajduk scoreline too, when Ante Vukuši? came to the end of Frano Mlinar's pass, he simply dribbled around Stekelenburg, before just slotting it home. Mikro Oremuš came up only 15 minutes later, to finish the job, dribbling around Ivica Golik, before going around new Real Madrid signing, Eljero Elia to curl the ball under the bar.

Important note: Ivica Golik, born in Chile in the year 2000, became the youngest person to have played in the European Championship, and any continental competition, at the age of 16 years and 1 day when he played against Holland for Croatia. He is also the first person to play for any international team born in the new millennium, and Croatia's youngest ever player by nearly 4 years. He plays, naturally, for Hajduk Split.

MEANWHILE... FOR SPLIT
Robin Van Persie, age 32, has signed a two year contract for Hajduk Split, moving from Arsenal. While he is, almost definitely, Hajduk's biggest new name, he isn't expected to be a key part of the first team, and was one of the cheaper players to sign.
However, Bendiš also closed the signatures of a certain Ivan Periši?, from Club Brugges, in the significantly more expensive transfer of 6.5M €. Periši? and Frano Mlinar could fight for the first team attacking midfielder place.
And then, seemingly to wrap up Hajduk's, frankly, by Croatian and Hajduk's standards, obscene transfer season, Bendiš has signed Ivan Džoni for 7.5 M € back from Olympique Lyonnais, beating out Girondins de Bordeaux. According to Bendiš, it was important to sell the striker to the French club in 2011 for so little, because he would have never stayed.

Now though... everything has changed.

PORTUGAL, FRANCE FALL OUT. BELARUS VS. CROATIA FOR THE CUP
CROATIA 2-0 PORTUGAL - MARSEILLE
FRANCE 2-2(p) BELARUS - PARIS
Cristiano Ronaldo didn't get joy in probably his last competition, winning his 126th cap against Croatia. It was Hajduk who starred, yet again, as Ton?i Kuko? scored a marvelous goal, and Ante Vukuši? scored a goal under the rushing keeper to secure Croatia's first major final at the site of their worst defeat (vs. France, 1998). But this time, Croatia were spared the fall of Paris. This time, Croatia was spared the crowd at Stade de France in Saint Dénis. This time, it was Ronaldo, and Marseille who cheered the Croatians odd. Ironic, since Hajduk and Marseille have an intimate partnership.

In Paris, however, France watched it fall apart, as Belarus enjoyed every second of it. All four goals happened within the first half hour, but France choked against the least illustrious opponent anyone could imagine. Belarus, however, thoroughly deserved the final, having defeated the 2008 winners, Spain, 4-0 in the first round.

Croatia now face their qualifying group opponents (who they beat twice) in the final, at the site of their greatest disappointment, in Paris for the final. Ivica Golik will be the youngest player ever to play in the European Championship Final

CROATIA TAKE IT HOME
CROATIA 3-0 BELARUS - MARSEILLE
Duje ?op scored two goals in the final to take the Golden Boot home, scoring five goals for Croatia through the European Championship Campaign, for Frano Mlinar to lift the tiny nation's first trophy.
?op wasn't done though. After he scored the first two goals, one on either side of the half, he somehow managed to loft the ball over the Belorussian defense (keep in mind, this is a nearly 2 meter tall target man) to a waiting Ton?i Kuko?, who covered the ball nicely, bounced it off the ground with his heel nicely, before lobbing the keeper with an overhead kick from inside the box... a goal that inexplicably failed to even place on the "Top 3 goals of the tournament".
But Hajduk had every reason to be thrilled, as five of their players were nominated to the dream team, exponentially raising the costs of all Hajduk players.
Timmy Bendiš is now the 18th best manager of all time, and the 15th best in all time of Europe.

MEANWHILE... IN THE REAL WORLD
I thought I'd try to get a seat in a restaurant with a twenty minute wait for a table for three, with this gem (keep in mind, this is in the US):

HAJDUK OPEN THE SEASON WITH STYLE - 24.VII.2016
NK DINAMO ZAGREB 0-5 HNK HAJDUK SPLIT - MAKSIMIR
Truly one of the greatest starts of the seasons in recent memory, where Hajduk completely dismantled a lackluster Dinamo side, scoring 5 in the season opener, with Duje ?op continuing on a memorable pre-season run, scoring a brace.

?op himself opened the scoring, as early as the 6th minute, while Zvonimir Soldo, inexplicably still in position at Dinamo despite the board buyout, watched on intently. ?op played the double pass with Ante Vukuši?, replacing the injured Peter Zajac, simply got on goal and thundered the ball past Dinamo captain, Ivan Kelava. Frano Mlinar, the Hajduk captain helped Ton?i Kuko? as the winger blasted past Dario Rugaševi?, the former Šibenik player/Hajduk target, to cut inside, leaving Kelava for dead. Vukuši? put the Dalmatians up 3-0 in the 28th, while Gianluca Somma (Dinamo defender) made it 4-0 by scoring an own-goal just before the half hour.

ZERO - FOUR for the visitors before the half-hour?! That's positively ridiculous. Duje ?op though, wanted the man of the match, and thoroughly deserved it, by taking another goal from inside the box, making it two goals, an assist, and a man of the match for the man-mountain, who looks, after claiming the European Championship Golden Boot, to be having, possibly his best season so far.

MEANWHILE... IN LEVERKUSEN
Hajduk slapped their transfer season together by signing Simone Bonetti for 1.5M € from the Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen.
They paid for it by selling Atle Andersen to Real Madrid for 5 M €. The Norweigen simply wasn't going to get the time next to Ivan Periši? and Frano Mlinar, and, with Real Madrid knocking, Bendiš wasn't going to even resist. Although, 50% of the next transfer, assuming he doesn't go for free, will go to Hajduk.
