FMM 2.25 Vista Problems

I have an issue when trying to load 2.25 with Vista Basic (awful stuff)

I get this message when i load after install -

1st Window - "File access denied"

2nd Window - "Access violation at address 004B8A11 in module 'FMM2.2.exe' Write of 00000048"

The program loads, but after i load, i get the same window as window 2, but the violation at address changes.

Any thoughts? is it just not gonna work thanks to crapy Vista Basic?

It should also be compatible with Windows Vista. When you are running under Vista, don't install to system volume (like C: ), but if you do you can try this:
- Right Click on the .exe file
- Go to Compatibility tab
- Enable 'Run as Administrator' option

and(or)

Look to the top right, find and click the triangle. You are into the Options now, so just change the version to FM 8.0.2.

Yeah, Ive tried that.

Both of that.

When i press the triangle, i get a window that has nothing more than a bunch of ?'s. Ive tried running it in compatibility mode set at XP, but still no joy.

i think you have installed a chinese version or something.

uninstall, download it again from this site, and try again.

I downloaded it from this site mate.

I think i should just scrap it.

Download a previous version.

thats weird, for me when that happened on vista, i just ran as administrator and it worked. and the triangle thing should give u "?" either.

you've installed the correct version. but you need to right click the program icon and select "run as administrator" and run it that way, then click on "Allow" when it asks you to do so. Then the program runs correctly (or as correct as it can -read below-).

However I still have a problem with the program. I did click on the triangle on right top corner and went to the options and 8.0.2 is selected. Then i go click on "Load" and after doing so for a second it says "16907 datas read, search enanbled" and i type a player's name in the box and it gives me a list of players with the same name and tells me to select name from list to display detail.

when i do that, it gives me "Read data error (ID:1073).

how do i get around this, anyone know?

are you using the 8.0.2 version??? if not change to the version your using.

otherwise you seem to have the same problem as the guy above. which is weird because it should actually work. it works for so many.

Hey it worked.

I clicked the icon (after install) and ran as administrator and it seems to be ok. There is no "?"'s when i open options. Thank you Ronaldogiggs and to all that offered some help!


I can now cheat like im meant to lol.
