i need a good tactic for dortmund i prefer 4-2-3-1 but will to try others everything i have tried hasnt been sucsessful. i prefer to play fluid atticking football, short passing, quick tempo.
I'm playing with Dortmund at the minute , although it is 2028 in my game. I use 4-2-3-1 as well , Fluid , short passing and slow tempo, this is important a short game is better played at a slow possesion based tempo. You need to have good passers in midfield for it to work and a really good attacking midfielder who can create things and make him your playmakers. For a striker , a target man is best someone who can finish , strong and has pace. That aint going to be cheap, on the left I use an Inside forward and winger on the right hand side. Deep lying playmaker in the centre with a ball winning mid. I rarely loose at home with this tactic , in fact I think I've only lost twice in 3 seasons at home.
Away unless playing a really weak team I change the tactic , I play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow , through the centre , quick tempo. This is more defensive but also allows you to play quickly on the break. You'll notice german sides are weakest through the middle outside the top 4 clubs. You can attack or play on the counter, usually I attack early on and see how it goes then change.
