My most successful story on FM12 Inter Milan take over the world.
I am a very keen fm player, who spends well too many hours on the game, trying all different challenges and careers I can along the way. With my excitement of the new FM13 coming out I wanted to end this year with uploading the story of my most successful game in FM12 and the dominance I gained. I think it was the longest game I’ve ever done on FM so was great achievement for me when I became the most dominant force in the world with the great Inter Milan.
Here my Story..............
Toni Vercetti Career

As you can see from here I started out the career at Leicester gaining them promotion to the premier league, which we all know in truth its not to difficult, I think I won that league but only gained silver in manager of the year. Not that I’m bitter or anything. Started my second season well with Leicester when a struggling Aston villa offered me the position when they were floating around the relegation places. I took it, But being greedy for trophy only stayed 3 months before moving to Bayern.
I spent two years at Bayern with a great team using Robben and Ribery to their advantages and switch the wings causing opposition more trouble than they could handle. I also brought in Leonardo Damino Which proved to be up there in the top 5 signings I’ve ever made banging them in to help my win champions league in the second season.
I then left to take over Spain senior squad taking them to the European championship I think if not the world cup again not a hard feat.
And then the Challenge started getting offered the position at my favourite team a very Underperforming Inter. Who had the season from hell the one before I took over just scraping survival in serie A. I took over 25/5/2015. The previous manager got sacked understandably then the Domination started from there. (I will go into more detail later on)
I’ve also taken over the Italian national squad brought through some brilliant talent and I’m standing 2nd in the FIFA rankings behind brazil, Italy have been top but not for long but who knows how fifa work out those bloody ranking system (look where England are at the moment).
Philosophy of Toni Vercetti:
1. I like buying potential wonder kids and seeing them grow.
2. I wanted the best youth structure to bring through great wonder kids
3. I like Fast passing games, Fuck the Long ball BORING.
4. I like to rotate a lot with a strong team and bring youth through.
5. Good Backroom Staff
Over the duration of this blog I’m going to be focusing on my time at Inter so In the previous screen shot you can see the prove.

The Taking over of Inter
So like I said before when I took over inter the season before they had a terrible year the manager before was sack (think it was Baresi) I got brought in and the turnaround began!

Back room Staff
I brought in solid backroom staff Starting with my fearless Ass Manager Who i worship and think the world of Robbie Di Matteo

My first season in charge inter had a half decent team just wasn’t getting used right and needed dome additions. When I Started the job i had a decent transfer kitty to bring a few players into the weak positions in the side and fit in with my Barcelona Like football mentality I like to play.

So I strengthened my squad the Keeper situation was terrible I can’t remember who was in goal it’s not worth thinking about but that was probably the main reason they did so shit the season before.
As you can see i brought in Thomas Lehmann (no Relation to jens) who was a 17 year old wonder kid who really has turned into i diamond boy, unfortunately i had to let him go a couple of seasons ago as i couldn’t give him the first team football he wanted. (hes gone to Fiorentina who have also become a massive force last season finishing second in serie A behind Inter and runners up in champions league to me obviously. I brought in Ochoa on a free who was the back up for the great that is KONE.
KONE
In the 10 years at inter on the game he has been the most solid keeper ive ever had and this is why lehmann only had a shout when he was at Africa cup of nations.
I brought him on a bossman but had to pay some compensation if i knew how good he was going to be i would of paid 10 times more.

http://imageshack.us/a/img197/131/armandkonhistorycareers.png
As you can see here I chucked him straight in at the deep end and he didn’t disappoint got better and better as the season have gone on.

He’s 32 now so still got few years left in him even though I like playing with young players don’t really matter for a keeper and I can tell you he’ll probably be no. 1 till he retires.
Iker Muniain
As you can see above i also brought in iker Muniain for a huge fee but again didn’t disappoint. All my formations i tend to play with a poacher, reason being I love the speed and one on one goals and finishing, I’ve never had a lot of luck with target men or deep lying players (big forwards) I prefer a little man to provide the goals and Iker the man. I played a lot for him but he had been smashing it in Spain reason why. He has gone on to become a ledged at Inter and is still useful at his age being able to play as an inside forward on the left as well.

http://imageshack.us/a/img705/8995/ikermuniainoverviewprof.png

I also brought in Nsue who i think is one of the most under rated player in FM12. He played a massive part for a lot of season for me at inter on the right wing most of the time, Benzema who was again great signing more of a rotational forward but scored enough when needed, Coates who was signed as back up for central defence.

Calisti
I signed as a kid for 3m from Empoli touted again to be good by my great scouting team. And he was sign as someone i wanted to develop and take over the reins from balzerreti when he retired. The time came Balzeretti suffered a horrific injury that made him retire Calisti got bumped up to 1st team at the age of 19 and didn’t disappoint and has turned into one of the best left backs in the game.

One of the other great things with Calisti that is domantly a left back but I decided a couple of seasons ago to change the shape of the team quite dramatically and i had to change him to a wing back and it was a very smooth transition. No trouble for the greats.

My first season
1st season went brilliantly turned inter into the passing team I wanted and successfully won serie A.
http://imageshack.us/a/img29/3576/serieaoverviewstages2.png

As you can see from here Muniain became my lone front man but a great in his 1st season, Kone solid keeper, nsue in on the action Perotti went on to become long reign captain and ledged at inter probably the only good thing Baresi did good.
2016-2017
Next season started and i improved the team some more................

I made some more signing to structure the team bring in the sort of player i wanted plying at the club. The 1st being the best signing I’ve EVER made:
IVAN GONZALEZ

Now the reason this all came about was inter had Hercules FC as an afflicted team and my scouts kept emailing me about this lad GONZALEZ and I could get my head round it. Any way I looked in to it with more detail and saw why he had been touted to be the best poaching striker EVER and he is from his tens till when he dies.
I signed him for an expensive 11m but, to put it out there not to make a long story out of it ( i mess about in games and i got offered job at barca took it and the 1st bloke on my shopping list was him i paid 89 m for him WORTH it if you got the money) , any way I signed him when he was 17 and look what he’s turned into Guaranteed goals whenever he plays, My strike force at inter through the years has been the best in the game different thro the 10 years but i always had to build the team around him. He’s 26 now and has been a regular 1st team player since he got to inter when he was 17. I wouldn’t sell this lad for any money. One thing that amazes me is he’s not 1st team for Spain incredible oh well there loss.

James Rodriguez

Know this was up there with one of the best Bargain Buys I’ve ever made he was at arsenal not getting the minutes so i got him for 6.75m. When I signed him I’m not going to lie it was going to be on rotation I had perotti left wing who didn’t need to budge captain and top assist for like 4 years running and AMC position had a lot of compertion. He’s didn’t get a lot of football in 1st seasons but then turned great his assists were incredible, great bargain.
H.Salah

http://imageshack.us/a/img211/8792/husseinsalahoverviewpro.png
Now Salah is one of these player...... You all know them that moans he’s not getting enough games bit of a prick BUT he’s brilliant but it this way you see later on i signed one of the best right backs in the game later on but this guy still got games coz he may not be rated brilliant but he is the sort wing back every one wants he does everything his stats say he doesn’t do.
I signed him from Atlanta for 11m which again a lot of money for a wonder kid. But he doesn’t disappoint he played about half the games in the season because i have another class right back but his rating are incredible especially as at the moment i play with wing back explain more later but he doesn’t naturally play there but his game ratings are better there he’s a crazy player but i love him. (he is Egyptian that prob why he’s crazy)
I also signed veretti solid as always can play anywhere in the middle of the park and a lad called Guttierez who i was sad to let go a couple of seasons ago he was like a super sub there was so much compertion in my squad but he was brilliant.
So know the squad looked like this:

Still very similar but you can see the young lads breaking through.

The season didn’t go brilliant finished 3rd don’t really know why TBH!
Moving quickly on 2017-18
Transfers:

TALES

Right this in mind again sticking to my youth buying structure I signed Tales Brazilian wonder kid for 6.75 and has turned into again one of the best cb in the game. As you can see I started him young and he coped brilliantly he is your typical john terry reliable. Bit better of the pitch too.
Clubs are constantly trying to pinch him but I won’t sell him.

Abel Hernandez I brought for hefty price from Palermo, but worth it all the way and he joined an unusual strike force I used to use in a 3-4-3 formation flat with Muniain and Gonzalez you can imagine it was scary how they used to play together. And Hernandez was not shy of a few goals and became a legend at inter.
I also signed marrone good DMC always helped out, Balotelli as a bit of back up haha, and a young lad touted to be a star but pretty average really not worth mentioning.
Now that season went very well winning serie A again the 1st of many consecutive titles, Club world championship, Champions League:

And the team looked like this:

Season 2018-19
Summer transfers

This was a summer on big spending on BIG players.
F.Perez Bona

I signed FPB at 23 from Boca for a huge 38m but he was one of the player i got in my head I wanted, I had cash to burn, he was young, maicon had retired and i only had salah who was young and taking a long time to get up to his full potential. BUT he didn’t disappoint that season i adopted the Barcelona formation to try out ( which over not massive fan of i like the tik tap but not the shape FPB Is basically Dani Alves ARG style pushes forward a lot rated potential of 4 and half stars. And that’s where he played
BISPO

Again bispo was touted to be a great cm which i needed for the future, he reminds me of a typical cluade makalele, doesn’t seem to do a lot but holds the team together. I signed him for 10m at 21. Again turned into great servant for the club very loyal as he gains a lot of interest from other teams.
Also signed Capuano good central defend sort of as a backup but got a lot of games and Ganso who personally i thought was the biggest waste of money EVER.
This season went well finishing 1st in serie A, winning club world championship, Champions League,

Team looked like:

Like I said formation did well but didn’t like the shape. And the way they defended with it well to high up the pitch.
Next season 2019-20

Again big spenders but because i could i brought in Ante Grubelic for and incredible 40m from Huddersfield they really didn’t want to selling him this is when I realised that Croatia’s youth was incredible check it out. He’s excellent still rotation at cb in current game.
Diuof
AMR who just couldn’t adapt to Italian football in first couple season i though shit transfer then sent him on loan to benfica with a really low future fee just to get rid of him and i couldn’t believe my eyes he turned into a monster bit my tongue then luckily they didn’t sign him and he’s used a lot in current team in fact wait your laugh let me find a screen shot:

And I signed chevi......... who i really wanted to keep he could basically play anywhere in the midfield ANYWERE. But I couldn’t give him the 1st team football along the game.
This season went well: winners again winning serie A, Club world championship, Champions League,

Team looked like:

Next season 20-21
Transfers I was very happy by the squad at this time started messing around with tactics and letting peoples go to bring some dosh in and relive them to get 1st team football.

I brought in Toni Kroos for a big sum and he was getting on but experience I wanted depth for champion’s league and he was great until got to old. And didn’t fit in. Also brought in Boltia back up at CB
THIAGO

I brought him from spurs when he was 27 primarily to use as dmc but as you can see can fill in at rb and wbr he is a machine as u will see further on in tactics. He’s a big stats man rates very highly though I paid I bit too much for him in 1st couple seasons but he gelled and now vice captain of the squad.
This season became one of the most successes full yet:

Only losing three games, trying to gets that great arsenal record not losing a game all season winning SerieA, Super Cup. The team looked like:

Know I really loved this formation and i adjusted it to play exactly how i wanted to the ball moved beautifully through middle of the park the right wing was exploited by FPB & salah it worked very well.
Season 2021-22

Busy again buying players but one of the most future successful transfer windows:
Akif Ciftci
You can see I pinched 2 of Bayern’s best players that season this young lad I got for 15m as a poacher But I’ve turned him into a great IF on the right. And again this is when I found out that the Turkish were bringing through some great youth talent.

Ivan Deveric Satistacly probably the best player i have in the squad but can’t seem to get the best out of him at the moment naturally a trequestia st but i play him on right wing as IF. And Nene not going to lie waste of money he was trying to buy a player to be able to replace perotti.
RENAUD

I brought the French man at 17. To eventually take over from thiago, he’s and anchor man and solid one at that I’ve been bring him through the ranks didn’t want to chuck him in to fast, and nearly risked losing him from it because he’s getting a lot of attention from other clubs but did it right I think because he’s turning into a brilliant player.
Again had a great season only lost 2 that year

2022-23
Transfers

Now the transfer marker I was looking for bargains, everyone likes a good bargain so I brought in Toscano. As you can see on screen shot lehmann had enough and wouldn’t stop kicking off about first team so I loaned him out and he got brought so I brought in this young lad half Italian half Argentinean touted to be good keeper as back up and he fits in perfect even gets called up for Italy some times. Next was domingos now I feel quite bad about this I was going through a stage of buying really young lads that have potential of becoming min 3 and half stars so i brought him and got a bit carried away with it he’s good but don’t quite make the cut at the mo might loan him out coz he gets a lot of attention. He’s a mc potential aml.
The lad from Genoa santa....... can’t see or spell his last name again touted to be great mc/amc Italian was trying to get a bit of young Italian talent in the team and he doing well starting a lot of games
DIAZ REVILLA
Now I can’t get my head round this last scouts were going mental over him he’s going to be next Xavi, He’s can pass he’s solid, I hit his Min release clause at inter for 20 odd million and he didn’t make an impact at all, yes I accept he’s young and needs to fit into Italy but like in world cup he smashed it for Spain AND this is the story I eventually got pissed off so I thought right ill send you out on loan see how he’s done put a future fee on it to get my money back, sent him on his way to athletico Madrid and look what he does young player of the year, POW he’s now a big part of my team haha check this out

Actually looking again now think i was bit harsh coz he did have pretty good ratings for inter but he’s one of those players you don’t really see.
Any way this season went well too:
22-23- went over the 100 point mark.

Team looked like:

Season 23-24
Transfers

Lucas- A experienced cb as I was having problems i only had my 2 1st team boys and in space of preseason 3 retired and the youth weren’t good enough so i brought him in a lot experience for Italian national team i liked him as player, Fattori Cheap back up again cb on transfer list And Mattheus he’s an AML as i was having problems replacing the retired perotti and rodrigez was getting old I signed this lad bit slow to start but now he has turned into a monster IF
That season went well, only lost one game finished on 99 points the perfect season of no losing games nearly there

Team looked like this

Season 2024-2025
This is the season that the main transformation took place when i ripped up the formations and built the most unusual formation but a beauty to play how I wanted it and solid from goal to attack.
1st up the transfers

This was a busy transfer window.........
Varao
As I said before I love youth and I love rotation and Varao is all of that but better. I had been scouting him for a long time and weighing up do i really need another brilliant CB who’s going want first team football, yeah fuck it whats money for............. this lad has turned brilliant buy. I got him 18m I think from relegated llorient. And his ability to hold up players and not let them past is incredible. He’s only 24!!!

ABEL SOUSA
The next Portuguese gem. Now I had been thinking about Sousa a couple of seasons before when he was very young but I had no proof he was going to be good, so I didn’t want to take the risk. However I did in this transfer window as my cm i had at the time weren’t performing to their potential I thought it would give them a bit of challenge for 1st team and up their game. He was un happy an man unt not getting 1st team football getting loaned out so i swiped him.
And now he is the creative side of my team the playmaker if you want, the dead ball man I compare him to pirlo just plays a bit further up the pitch.

COTEANU
This young lad got presented to me from a scout in Romania somewhere, to be good and I think he’s got a great future he’s not in my starting line at the moment but he’s part of the youth development and he’s out on loan at the moment hope to gain some 1st team experience. And he was a bargain

Guilermo
I signed this lad as a sort of back up for Calisti in wbl position hitting his min release clause, I’ve got some youth from academy that can play in this position but there not quite up to the standard and Calisti came to me at the end of the season and said he wants a new challenge is shit myself panic brought this lad then convinced Calisti to stay BUT he gets game time he’s a good youngster and is in Argentina 1st team.
And SANTOS is a right winger not going to lie I don’t really need him as I’m quite packed up I’m this area but he had a cracking previous season and has moulded with the team well gets minutes on the pitch he’s enjoying winning stuff so all good
THE TACTICS OFF 2-3-2-2-1
This is a really random formation but i spent pre-season building it and I love it it’s not let me down I will break it down for you.

The way it has been built was to fit the players I had that weren’t reaching the potential and positioning i wanted them to.
I wanted something that would maximise the full backs, have one lone poacher up front and keep the creativity through the middle and this is the shape I found.
I’m going to show you the print screen of position i have and rotation options.
GK- standard- Solid as always Kone is captain so he gets the nod most games

DC x2
I play with 2 DC and 1st rotation is between: Tales, Grubelic & Varao
Back up: Rugani, Fattori
Youth: Ivaldi

The Main Job of the DC is to keep the line, i don’t like my DC pushing forward to much. Solid big defenders.
WBR: x1
1st team rotation: Perez Bona & Salah
If needed Back up: Thiago (normally used DMC)
Youth: Okuka- (this lad is the most exciting youth prospect i have more detail later) can play all up Right wing

WBL: x1
1st Team Rotation: Calisti & Guilermo
Back up Youth: Romagnoli & Cortasi

The main job of the wing backs is exactly what it says Dani alves is the sort of wing back i was after just a little bit more defensive aware. To be able to push forward into MR position and supply the low crosses and like with the IF on both sides that move in field.
DMC x1
1st team rotation: Renaud, Thiago, Bispo
Back Up Youth: Giometti,Facci, Casati, Conatnu
The Main function of the DMC is to play deep just in front of the DC to mainly support them as much as possible. (Played as Anchor Man) Also to link the short passing to the MC.

MC x2
CM- 1st team rotation: Sousa, Bispo, Diaz Revilla
Back up Youth: Thiago, Facci,
The main function of the CM is to be mr creative (the playmaker) Passer & creativity.
AP- 1st team rotation: Diaz Revilla, Leonardo Santarsiero,
Back Up youth: Domingos Ferriea, Pellegatta
This lad is a bit more of and attacking help to the attack dribbler, passer , through balls etc.
AMR x1 Inside forward.
1st team rotation: Deveric, Santos, Diuof, Ciftci
Back Up youth: Okuka
The main responsibility of the AMR is inside forward to cut in to support the poacher and link well with overlap with the WB.

AML x1 Inside Forward
1st team rotation: Mattheus, Ciftci
Back up Youth: Gonzalez, Muniain, Domingos Ferriea, Rodrigez
Mian Duties Same as AMR Inside forward

STC- Poacher/ Advance Forward
1st team rotation: Gonzales, Deveric, Cancian
Back Up Youth: Ciftci, Munian, Capucci
Lone man up front supported by Inside forwards, normally play as Poacher feeding off the through balls get a lot of goals sometimes play Advanced forward with the right man to hold up play.

Mentally
As you can see I play very short passing, NEVER the long ball even from keeper and I give them a lot of space to roam the AMR, STC, MC NOT the DMC though he stays solid in front of the DC.
Any Way that season went brilliant with the TRANTER I tactic:

Winning Serie A, Champions League, Super Cup

This my team so far a few other things I want to show you the no of trophies I’ve won I was going to write each season right ball ache though so screen shot:

And the youth development at Inter i pushed to be better than Barcelona & Ajax:

I’ve brought through some brilliant youth to become 1st team that I’m very proud of and more to come.
