April/May 2012 Review
Napoli seemed to almost crawl towards the finish line. After opening the month of April with 3 straight shutout wins, Napoli would draw the next two (at Roma, Genoa) before losing their 3rd match of the season in a very poor road loss (0-2) to Inter Milan, to close out April.
They would now sit only 3 points ahead of Juventus with 2 matches to play, one being at home to Juventus and the final away at Catania. They first would need to see about finishing out Palermo in the Italian Cup Final a match in which Palermo was slightly favored and in front of 73,000 fans at Olimpico Stadium. How would Napoli do?
Napoli finish out Palermo in Final; Cavani with hat-trick.
The Partenopei had won the Coppa Italia for the 2nd straight year! Supporters and the board raved about the 1st year manager and celebrated.

The celebration had to be short lived as the lads faced their biggest match of the season. A match in which they could clinch the Serie A title or fall even with Juventus with one game remaining.
A sold out Stadio San Paolo would witness a historic evening!
Napoli conceded a massive amount of possession but did not break and in fact stole 2 goals on the counter to capture a massive 2-0 win and capture the Serie A title and complete the double!
