June 2012, and the managerial journey begins for former semi-pro footballer Derrick Porritt, and his ambition to become a world class manager is a distant dream as he starts out his managerial career. Having recently completed all his qualifying badges he has to now wait for the opportunity to come along to manage his first club.

Manchester born Porritt had a distinguished semi-pro career playing for several Blue Square Premier sides before injuries got the better of him at 32 and he was forced to retire, at which point he decided to make the move into management as his love for the game would never fade away.

Life growing up was tough in a rough South Manchester area, and being a Manchester City fan didn’t help him during the 90’s either, but he managed to keep his head down and his ambitions of becoming of footballer drove him even more and this is why many are convinced he has what it takes to become a very good manager.

With a young family, Porritt was hoping for a local job so he didn’t have to move them around and he really wanted a club with ambition, however high or low on the footballing ladder they were.

Now I want some input as to what to do....Do i pick a team, or you guys pick for me, or do I start unemployed and wait for a job? Thank you for any input and hopefully I can stick at it when not playing constantly.
