In what is one of the most extraordinary sporting decisions of the past year, Chris Kamara, has become the manager of the Championship club Leeds United eating the likes of Mick McCarthy and Roy Keane to the job.

The appointment has come with mixed decisions from the fans of Leeds United. Kamara, a past footballer for the club. Some saying that he could bring the good times back to Elland Road. Others however have even already started a "#KammyOut" campaign on Twitter.

With only two past experiences in management, the job for Chris will be no easy task. However, people who know Chris will know that he is the kind of person that never shies away from a challenge.

In his first week, Chris sets upon arranging his side's pre-season plan. Arranging new friendly matches against nearby weak opposition in a plan of building his team's confidence.

After watching his side's first training session, Kammy decides on which players can be deemed as deadwood. In need of funds, he places 4 players on the transfer list. Goalkeeper Paul Rachubka, right-back Paul Connolly, left-back Danny Pugh and attacking midfielder Ramon Nunez.

He also believes that his side is lacking in pace up front and will be on the look-out for a new attacker once he gets the necessary funding.

Within days of listing Rachubka as available, a total of 7 clubs offer 150k up front. Chris, delighted at the response,and quickly accepts all offers.



Burnley also come calling about the availability of Paul Connolly and promptly offer 200k up front for the defender's loyalty. Chris accepts the offer and talks between the player and the club shortly begin.

Two days later, Paul Connolly signs for Burnley, bringing the transfer budget up to 418k.
Kammy is hopeful that the players sold might bring up the budget to somewhere around 1 million pounds. Then he can really get down to the business of signing some decent quality players.

In his first match as Leeds manager, a friendly against Nostell Miners Welfare, his side convincingly win 3-0. The defence was brilliant, not allowing the opposition to have one shot on target. The top performer was David Norris.

Chris' first capture of the summer comes with the name of Mauro Formica on a season-long loan. The 24 year old Argentine is well-known for his flair, first touch and dribbling. Chris believes Mauro could be one of the side's main men during the season.

Leeds' Second pre-season friendly ends in a 9-0 hammering of local side AFC Emley. Becchio grabbing 4 stereotypical poacher goals but it was new-boy Mauro Formica's stunning effort that will make the headlines. A half-volley from the corner of the box. Not a bad way to start your Leeds career!

Second signing of the season : Chris Kamara has sealed yet another season-long loan. Elland Road will be the home of Wigan winger Albert Crusat. Known for his blistering pace and silky dribbling skills, he can rip defences apart.

Another pre-season match, another win. This time beating Guiseley 3-0. Becchio again was the top performer and by the looks of it could be in line for having a great season.

First match of the season against one of the favourites for the title Crystal Palace. A tough start for Chris. Therefore, Kammy has went for a slightly more defensive tactic to try and stop the likes of Wilfred Zaha, Jonny Williams and Glenn Murray.

A bad start for Chris' reign as Leeds manager. Going up against one of the favourites for the title seemed to be one step too far as his Leeds side never seemed to get the upper hand. One positive from the match however, was the performance from new boy Formica. His dribbling and passing skills were on show to the Leeds fans.
