Cheers
Glenn not winning this at the moment kind of seems like Blackburn winning the premiership. It happened once, and doesn't seem like it will happen again.
When does the new winner get announced?

July Winner
This month has been a very difficult month from a judge's point of view, as the quality of stories seems to keep improving all the time. There were many stories worthy of a nomination, but only five could be nominated, and only one of those could win. I'd like to thank you all on behalf of the judging panel for all your votes, as it really does show how much support the stories forum gets on a regular basis. The readers are just as important as the writers, in my eyes, as they can provide great feedback for stories. And the winner for this month's award, chosen by you, their readers, is....Justice!!! Justice won this month's poll by claiming 24 of the 55 votes cast, 43.6% of the votes. Credit must go to the other nominees, and indeed all the writers out there, who really pushed the standard needed to be nominated to a whole new level. Glenn T finished runners-up with 11 votes (20%), and tbendis in third with 9 votes (16.3%).
So that concludes yet another month in the life of Story of the Month! Remember to keep reading and writing your own stories! Who knows, you could be the winner for August...
Well done Justice deserved it this month
I'd like to thank absolutely everyone for all of the votes. It's been magnificent being even considered, much less making the podium. I write the story for my readers, and they have returned the favor.
Also, I'd like to thank the judges for taking this so professionally. The SotM means a lot for all story writers, especially in its current format, as it exposes the stories nominated for a much larger readership. I know for fact of at least two people who started reading my story after the nomination. I'd love for it to continue in its current format, as the fact that only five people get nominated makes it mean more for each of us.
Thank you so much
And congratulations to Justice, may he continue to provide interesting reading for us all, and a valuable competitor to the Adriatic Adventure. Competition makes everyone better at everything

August Winner

The readers are just as important as the writers, in my eyes, as they can provide great feedback for stories. And the winner for this month's award, chosen by you, their readers, is....wellsy1498!!! wellsy1498 won this month's poll by claiming 36 of the 97 votes cast, 37.1% of the votes. Credit must go to the other nominees, and indeed all the writers out there, who really pushed the standard needed to be nominated to a whole new level. tbendis only just finished runners-up with 35 votes (36.1%), just a single vote behind wellsy1498, and P-KIDDY finished in third with 12 votes (12.4%).
Due to the amount of votes earned by the winner (wellsy1498), and the runner-up (tbendis), I have decided to award both of their stories three days as stickied stories, where their stories will always be at the top of the Forum. Both stories received a mass amount of praise, and both deserve rewards this month, even though there could only be one winner.
So that concludes yet another month in the life of Story of the Month! Remember to keep reading and writing your own stories! Who knows, you could be the winner for September...
Congrats to Matt and Timmy, both put up exceptional stories last month, and both deservedly have got so many votes, as well as a sticky. Well done.
