First season of managing Man U and I'm blazing the league clear of Arsenal with seven games to go. Problem is I drew Chelsea in the quarters of the Champions League, and (through save game wisdom) I have found I cannot beat them whatever I do; beaten five times resoundingly with a full strength team out. Is it my team talks, my pre-match press talks? Up until now I was able to beat them 3-1, 3-2, but they seem to be just unstoppable in Europe. Any advice (it is the first leg)?

Team:

GK: Van Der Sar
Back 4: Brown (Or Neville/O'Shea, Vidic, Ferdinand (Or Pique), Evra.
Midfield: Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick (Or Anderson, Hargreaves, Fletcher), Giggs (Or Nani).
Upfront: Rooney, Tevez (Or Saha).

(P.S. Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic and Anderson are one yellow away from a one game ban, so I'm wondering if I should save some of them for the more crucial semi's and final.)
even though ur playing it again and again you arent trying out new tactics and such?

if you have a working tactic which is winning you all these matches, just alter that a bit. you dont need to change it completley. Try to just set it up a bit more defensivley maybe and according to how chelsea play, and rather try to stop em.

changing your tactics too much can have a negative affect as well.

I copied their tactic of 4-1-2-1-2, with Hargreaves as DM and Ronaldo playing behind the front two and just won 2 - 1 on agg after 1st and second leg. Got Porto in the semi's now, who I battered in the group stages! Cheers for the advice, btw.
