FOX SPORTS BREAKING NEWS

SHOCK RESIGNATION AS POPOVIC LEAVES WESTERN SYDNEY

There has been a shock sent around Western Sydney and the rest of the Australian football world as Tony Popovic leaves the Western Sydney Wanderers after 250 games in charge and not being in control of the team for a single game. Tony had this to say -

" I really do not want to leave, but it is the right thing to do. I am just as shocked as you all are. I won't be answering any questions but I will explain to you everything I can. My shock resignation has come due to family reasons. My parents recently moved to Croatia and my mother has become extremely ill. I will have to go over to help her and my dad cope with it and help them through whatever they need. It is a tough time for both me and my family and I hate to be leaving the club in the lurch like this but I really do not have any option."

Popavic has put a squad together in 250 days and kept finances well in tact, so he has already left a promising club for the next manager to come in and make his job a little easier. Whether or not he will keep the squad is another story however. The high profile signing of Shinji Ono will surely persuade the next manager to come in. There have been a few names thrown around such as Mark Bosnich and Craig Forster to take over the reigns, but so far nothing has been said.

Condolences go out to the Popovic's and hope for nothing but the best for the rest of their lives. We will surely see Tony managing again soon.
Good to see you back on track Jake!
Sweet as bring it on Jake!

New Manager Announced- WSW.com

After the horrible news of yesterday's resignation, we are glad to announce that Mark :Bozza" Bosnich will be taking over as our head manager for Western Sydney Wanderers.

Former Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea Goalkeeper Bosnich has been a Fox Sports analyst for the past few years after his brief stint in the A-League with Central Coast. We have been scoping out Mark for the past week as we knew that Popa would have to leave due to the family reasons struck of late. We have come to the conclusion, that even though he has had his troubles in the past, that he has put them behind him, and can start his career in football management.

In his first interview for the club's website he had this to say -
"I am truly honoured to be given such a magnificent opportunity by this wonderful club. Even though the circumstances were not very ideal, I am still over the moon to join this amazing club. It was horrible seeing Popa leave on such unfortunate terms, he is a close mate of mine and also a team mate at international level. None the less though, I will be keeping in touch with him, but my main job is to lead this club to success."

"I am aiming to play free flowing, entertaining and attacking football that is easy on the eye. I want to see full commitment from my new lads in the squad, and i expect them to play for club, as no one is ever bigger the club. Now, tomorrow morning I will be getting straight into the job. I need to sort out tactics, and I also need to asses my squad, laying down the law of what will be going on. Thankyou for your time and I hope to see out a long career with the Western Sydney Wanderers and I thank Mr. Gorman for putting his trust in me."

Lyall Gorman released a small statement on his twitter account saying this - " I am so glad to announce that Bozza will be taking over my beloved club, and I know that he will be the man to take us even further forward after our interesting start!"

Western Sydney Wanderers.

Glad ya back, looking forward to following this!

First Day on the Job

This is surreal, I can not believe I am managing this football club. I can not believe this. There is so many people I need to meet, so many papers to sign, I have to get to it!

I call in my assistant manager Ante Milicic to have a chat.

"Ante I need you to round up everyone in the club. The players, coaches, directors, chairman, EVERYONE."

"Why is this Mark?"

"I need to lay down the law, I need to tell everyone what is going on and where I am going to take this club, all the way to glory. We are going to make this club have it's own history."

"Sure thing Boss! I'll be right on it. The meeting can commence in 1 hour."

"Great, this gives me some time to look over the squad. "
FRICKING FOOTBALL MANAGER!!!! I think WSW is bad luck because once again my save has been lost :(
Awww that sucks man
