Mancini press conference


Roberto Mancini:

''Good evening everyone! The reason why you see a big smile on my face, is because me and my team just had a terrific team meeting. We all agreed that this year we will win the treble which consist of the Premier league, the cup, and the Champions league. Yes yes i know. We have not been any good playing international soccer but i think that i can get the same spark that we had last year during our PL run. If you don't believe us, then watch

And for that im really sorry! I'm new in here and i have been struggling to decide what story to choose and the other 2 wasnt good and i think that this is the best way to make my way into the community. Again, im sorry and for possible followers. I will stick with this story for a long time :-)

Pre-season



Overall, a good pre-sason. Not that stabile because of a lot swapping of players, and a couple of injuries. I know that the community shield match against Chelsea was not Pre-season, but i just wanted to show that when the team needs to perform. They do. Throughout the pre-season i've been having a ton of individual talk's with the players. And i wan't to let the players know that the can come to me no matter what.

Tactics


Main tactic (Asym 4-2-2-2)


This tactic is really interesting. The reason for the asymmetric shape, is that in this way. I allow the players to play in their best positions, and in that way get the best out of the players. If you look at the shape of the formation. This is going to be my main choice for the season. (Credits to: ''Thebetterhalf'' for the inspiration)

Mancini: The reason why i brought you in here is that you have been performing really good lately. The games you have played as a starter was brilliant, and you made a clear difference. I'm considering playing you more regularly on the 1st team. Are you interested?

Isco: If i'm interested? Every minute on the pitch is like being in paradise. I think that you might have got a wrong thought about me. I love playing 1st team football and the pressure is no problem

Mancini: That was what i wanted to hear! I'm ready to give you all the opportunities possible. But you know that you are fighting with David Silva and Nasri for the AMC spot so it won't be easy. See you on the training field!

Still unbeaten


After 3 months, we are still unbeaten and we want to keep it that way. We are 1 match behind in the PL but we still managed to sit in the 2nd spot. Here are some Quotes from the players:

Sergio Agüero: ''The team is playing brilliant and we are all keen to stay on track and win the treble!''
Vincent Kompany: ''We are playing nice and entertaining soccer, and the fans seem exited. That makes our job a lot easier. I can promise the fans that they'll get what the want!''
Alexis Sánchez I gotta say that i wasn't thinking that Man City could do so good and play so stabile. I believe in Mancini and his expectations are actually possible

Unfortunately he is, yes. He did'nt peform in the pre-season and nether does he peform when i bring him in as a substitute. I think that my only option is to sell him in the january transfer window and bring in some new players.
