Salary Question Players

I have a question regarding salary wishes of players.

I have two good examples i cannot understand.

1. Oliver Oceean, Frankfurt. He played last year second season and now in the first half of the new season i offered him a new contract and hew wants 53.0000€. A player that perhaps spend 3 matches in the first bundesliga would never want such high salaries...

2. 16 years old Player from my U19 Squad, Never played a game in the first team. Wants a contract about 19.000€ + 20.000€ (if played x international games). How would ever someone wants such ridiculous sums if he never played in the bundesliga etc.

I dont get this contract salaries... It happens to me all the time, its just ridicolous..

The Game is really awesome but that is going on my nerve.. Anynone has the same problems.

I am playing with the latest patch of course.

i have similar issue when signing players under 17yrs old. A few are foreign youngsters that look to be world class one day but still only 15yrs old, they are currently on £55 a week youth contract and when i go to sign them, they ask for £12,000+ with a clause that increases to sometimes £25,000 after 10 league games. I then find out that they end up staying with their current team on a £1,000 a week contract, yet when i offered them £8,000 it wasnt enough.

So my observations are as follows:

1) sometimes the agent handling the transfer has his own stats, how willing he is to do the transfer and how much money he demands. There is also a relationship stat saying how much he likes or dislikes me. I can only assume that if he deals with the youth players current club a lot then he has a good relationship and therefore they get the player at a cheaper rate.

2) perhaps the player doesnt want to move abroad at such a young age as he would effectively (in real life anyway) have to leave his family and live in a new country and learn a new language so he wants proper compensation to do that.

3) The club he is currently at may be his favourite club or there may be his favourite staff there, so he would favour them over my club.

4) check the players personaility, he may be an ambitious and non-loyal player in which case the player may be looking for higher wages to stay or want to move to a bigger club.

i think in your case, check the players agent, and how much the agent likes or dislikes you. If the agent dislikes you, or has a high stat on willingness or fee then you are in trouble. I reckon as well the player may have an ambitious and non-loyal personality so tutor him to change it to a loyal and professional one with a player of that personality. Finally give the player compliments when valid as he then may add you as one of his favourite staff which will make him more likely to sign a new contract.
