I have bought a new laptop, and the OS is Vista. It installed with no problems when playing the game, but when I try to use the editor it comes up with

'This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fixthe problem.'

I have tried re-installing the game but it still comes up with the same error message. Is there anyone who can help?
which editor are you trying to use?

I'm using the original that came with the game. The version is 8.0.2.
It should also be compatible with Windows Vista. When you are running under Vista, don't install to system volume (like C: ), but if you do you can try this:
- Right Click on the .exe file
- Go to Compatibility tab
- Enable 'Run as Administrator' option

if this doesnt work then i dont know.

just go YAHOO and search MSVCP71.dll and download it,put it into the football manager file , and it should work!
