Hello, my name is Sam Magarry and this is the start of my journey to become Liverpools greatest ever manager.....

May 16th 2012, I was going for an early morning walk past Anfield, when I was suddenly stopped by a News Reporter for an interview.

News Reporter: Reports coming out of Anfield say that Kenny Dalglish has been relieved from his duties after finishing 8th in the Premier League and being 19 points off of Champions League qualification. What do you think about this?

Sam Magarry: Thank f*ck for that, he was awful!

News Reporter: But, he won the Carling Cup, soon to be Capital One Cup you would of thought that would of kept him safe for a while

Sam Magarry: But when you haven't won a trophy for 6-7 years and winning the Carling Cup is like not having a girlfriend for 6-7 years and bringing home Susan Boyle...

When suddenly out of nowhere, some teenagers on their bmxs start to repeatedly punch the news reporter and steal a gold ring on his finger. Just a standard morning in Liverpool to be honest...

An interesting start to the story. A rival Liverpool one - good competition as it is a totally different style. Good luck.

May 17th 2012, I had woken up to check my emails, when I noticed an email from John Henry, the owner of Liverpool FC

Hello Sam, I have sent you this email today as I watched your interview on TV yesterday and I have to admit you put on a good show. And because of that I want you to be a presenter for Liverpool TV, Meet me at Anfield at 12 o clock later today.

Well that was unexpected.......

I put on my finest suit, drank a bottle of whiskey and began the journey to Anfield. When I arrived I was greeted by a smiling John Henry.

Sam Magarry: Hello sir, Glad to meet you

John Henry: You too Sam, please enter this beautiful ground.

As I followed him inside I was in absolute awe, it was beautiful.......

John Henry: Now straight to buisness, after your showing in the media I just had to offer you a job as a presenter, ambassador, a manager.

Sam Magarry: I thought you said it would be a TV presenting job, not a managerial career

John Henry: Well you will be technically be presenting on TV this year presenting our football team in televised games in the Premier League and in Europe!

Sam Magarry: Well, you could of been more precise but I will gladly accept your offer!

John Henry: Heres your contract just sign at the bottom of the page.

I gladly signed at the bottom of the page, and there it was. I, Sam Magarry is the brand new manager of Liverpool.

My first day as boss of Liverpool, this day would change my life forever......

I walked into the dressing room to introduce myself to the players, I had never been so nervous in my life. When I entered the room I saw them all looking very confused, as if they were thinking "I thought we would of got better"

Sam Magarry: Well hello everyone, I am your new manager Sam Magarry. I have just come to introduce myself and say a few words

Steven Gerrard: Ok, go on then boss

I felt a lump in my throat as I began to speak.

Sam Magarry: Here at Liverpool, we were champions, winning everything you could imagine. But as time goes by so do Players and Staff, we here at Liverpool have had a long unsuccesful time not winning the Premier League in 32-33 years. I have come to change that, with the help of you guys WE WILL win the league, but it will take time and patience. If you try your best to the greatest of your abilities we will get along fine, but if you don't I will f*ck you up, LITERALLY!

Steven Gerrard: Hes right you know lads, its not fair for the supporters of the club. We need to try our best for this manager or we the players will be the ones to blame for the sacking of this manager, He won't get the blame like Dalglish did. We all have to perform, especially you Stuart and Jordan as you both commanded big fees last season andd flopped, no offence mates.

Sam Magarry: Well said Steven.

Steven Gerrard: Thanks boss!

Sam Magarry: You are all free to go, go on get to training!

Everyone was murmuring as they left, I don't know what they thought of me, but honestly what I would do without Steven Gerrard I don't have a clue.........

My first three signings as Liverpool manager, they were all young prospects for the club as we don't seem to have much money to spend on players, here they are.


Enter Ryan Gauld, this lad has the potential to be brilliant, he may not have the pace but he can work on that in training. Brilliant player for the future training him to be an AML, will play in the reserves for the moment though. Got on a free, but I think there is 650k compensation


Enter Andreas Cornelius, again Andreas has the potential to be a world class striker, he will be backup to our strikers Suarez and Borini. Bought for 1.5m


Enter Adryan, I am sure everyone knows about this lad. He is an absolute STEAL for 875k will be in the first team as backup to Gerrard aswell as Suso.

During my first couple of days at the club, I had started to devise two tactics for our team here they are.


This tactic will be for us to control the game. I will be playing Sahin in the Advanced Playmaker role as it suits him very well, and Jonjo Shelvey in the box to box role as he is also very good in that kind of role.


This tactic will be used to help us get a grip on the game or if we want to hold a lead. In this screenshot the players aren't in the roles I use them in now. For example, normally I would play Jonjo Shelvey in the Ball Winning Midfielder role as he has great determination, off the ball along with teamwork and work rate, his tackling isn't that bad either really.
