It was a beautiful day, so me and Eric decided that we would go through the month of December together with our jaffa cakes and cups of tea.

We started off the month with a game at Ewood Park against Cardiff, The game ended 2-2 with Ruben Rochina grabbing a brace. We then travelled to the Reebok to face Bolton, we won the game 2-1 with Rochina and Samba Diakite scoring. We then travelled down to St Andrews to play Birmingham, the result was dissapointing we lost 3-1 with Dickson Etuhu scoring for us, Chris Burke tore us apart in that game I will take full responsibility as we went way too attacking for an away game. Then we came home to Ewood Park to play Brighton, again another dissapointing result where we drew 0-0. We then played at home again and faced Hull City who currently have the most inform strikers in the league Aaron Mclean and Nick Proschwitz, the final score was 2-2 with Rochina and Givet scoring. We then travelled to Leicester, and destroyed them 4-2 with Jordan Rhodes grabbing a brace on his return from injury, Vukcevic and Rochina were the other scorers. To round off our month we went to Selhurst Park, we came out 2-0 winners against Palace with Rochina and Rhodes scoring.

I then spotted something unusual, Eric Black was topless in the middle of the training ground and brought out a deck chair and asked me to apply his sun lotion for him. He is a strange, strange man......

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The player of the month for December is Jordan Rhodes, he grabbed 3 goals in 2 games after his recovery from injury and is still showing he is one of our top players!

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The former Barcelona youth prospect Ruben Rochina has broken into the first team and bagged himself 6 goals this month, I bet Barcelona are wondering why they let him go!
COME ON ROVERS!

The month of January, this month could change the club. Top stars could leave, Top stars could join. I didn't know what was gonna happen but what I did know was that this was a month of opportunity.

Me and Eric had sold some players and we had the funds to buy alot of players, here is who we bought.

The first player we bought is a young italian AM called Erik Amedeo Ballardini, this lad will be in our reserves for a season, I know we have a lot of AMs so I will train him to play in the centre of midfield as a Advanced Playmaker

Our next signing is a former Milan youth team striker called Azad Kezer, Has the potential to be a leading premiership striker. He will be playing in the reserves and I also signed for free STEAL!

Our next signing goes by the name of Celso Borges, he is a very good forward and will be straight in the first team, we signed him for 950k and for his last club he scored 35 goals in 29 games, was also wanted by PSG and Lyon but decided to come to us!

Next up we have Ricardo Esgaio, he arrives on a free transfer from Sporting. He is a natural AMR, but I see the potential for him to be a very good CM and if things don't work out we can always sell him for a profit as he was completely free. He has the potential to be a good premiership player, will be in the reserves at first.

And finally, our last signing is Ivo Pekalksi, this young lad will be backup for the DM spot. He was wanted by West Brom but rejected them for us, he has the potential to be very good in the premiership.

Now to look at the two players we sold.

The first player we sold was Dickson Etuhu, he got rid of him to Everton for 1m. I was never going to play him, funnily enough he scored in his only game for us against Birmingham. Excellent deal for us, more space on the wage bill

Here is something that may suprise you, Martin Olsson leaves to Spurs for 7m, he played twice due to the amazing form of Adam Henley. Good play from him though as he never complained to me about not playing, topLAD

Was a good month for us going unbeaten, and beating Swansea 1-0 was brilliant for us!
(Cannot do detailed analysis of scorers on matches sorry guys, will be done on every single other month)

We are doing very solidly in the league, the board asked us to atleast participate in the playoffs so it doesn't really matter if we secure automatic promotion or not. I still feel with the new signings we have made we can push second place!
2012-12-30 18:41#74620 MattBerry96 : COME ON ROVERS!
Haha yeah come on!

Me and Eric decided to sit outside again to examine the February, it was unusually nice weather for the time of year.

We opened the month of February with a 2-1 home loss to Bristol City, Jordan Rhodes was our scorer, Adam Henley also got sent off because of this I fined him a weeks wage. We then travelled to Vicarage Road to play Watford, where we lost 5-1, I was fuming with the result and especially with Paul Robinson as he played appauling during that game. We then travelled to The Den to play Millwall in the fifth round of the FA Cup, we came out eventual 3-0 winners with Nuno Gomes, Danny Murphy and Simon Vukcevic being our scorers funnily enough LEYTON ORIENT beat a full strength CHELSEA team to progress to the next round with us. We then came back home to Ewood Park to play Ipswich, we won the game 2-0 with Jordan Rhodes and Celso Borges being our scorers. To round off the month we travelled to Pride Park to play Derby, we lost 1-0 but I wasn't too dissappointed with the result as they are in second place (which seems too far away for us to reach now).

Here is the league table, we are sitting in a very respectable 5th place, but if we won the 3 games that we lost we would be 2nd in the league.

Eric then piped up with the usual and said, "Boss, who are your players of the month then?"

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The player of the month award goes to Jordan Rhodes for bagging 3 goals and putting on good performances even in the games we lost.

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Even though none of my young players performed well this month, if I had to choose one it would be Grant Hanley as he was still playing like he was a few months back not letting a single thing past him he should be back at those heights next month

Spring had arrived, and so had the buisness end of the season, if we want to acquire our goals of reaching the play-offs then we had to start winning games. This is how our players responded after our poor last month.

We began the month with a home game against a very inform Leeds United, we unfortunately lost 1-0 but we lost both of our Centerbacks to injury so I had to play the young Robbie Cotton and the virtually unknown player called Henrique. We then travelled to The Den to play Millwall, we came out 2-0 winners with our Nigerian right back Daniel Adejo scoring his first goal for the club and David Dunn finishing off the scoring. We then played the F.A Cup quarter final against Liverpool, we lost 1-0 to a Steven Gerrard header, this result doesn't dissappoint me as we played supremely well and nearly scored to bring it to a replay. We then travelled to Hillsborough to play Sheffield Wednesday, it was a thrilling game where we came from 3-0 down to end the game 3-3, Danny Murphy, Ruben Rochina and Jordan Rhodes were the scorers. We then came back home and beat Burnley 2-0 with Vukcevic and veteran Nuno Gomes scoring our goals. We then rounded off the month with a 1-0 win against Blackpool with Ruben Rochina the goal machine being our scorer.

We are still fifth in the table, all we need is a extremely good run of form and we could come from behind to snatch second. It is a long shot, but I think its do-able with two months of the season left!

Eric then said boss: "Player of the month?"

I replied with "Thought you'd never ask Eric!"

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The player of the month award goes to Simon Vukcevic, grabbing himself a goal and a couple of assists again to help us win some points!

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Just has to go to Adam Henley again, this boy is something special he gives his all every game and sometimes nicks an assist, him and Rochina seem to work brilliantly together!

April and a bit of May, these were the games that mattered the most. Would change our season for the better or worst, I realised we most likely wouldn't get 2nd place as Derby have been on fire but that doesn't mean we can stop trying. Here are the results

We started the month with a game at Ewood Park against champions Wolces, we tore them a new arsehole even though we had only won by 2 goals Jordan Rhodes and Celso Borges the scorers. We then went down to Peterborough's place, the game ended 1-1 with Danny Murphy scoring a penalty but then he misses one in the 90th minute. We then went down to Huddersfield and lost 2-0 very dissapointing result. We then played Bolton, the final score being 2-2 with Celso Borges and Ruben Rochina the scorers. We then travelled down to the Millenium Stadium to play Cardiff, we won 2-1 Jason Lowe and Celso Borges with the goals. We then came back to Ewood to play Birmingham, Jason Lowe and Ruben Rochina being our scorers. And finally to round it all of we go to the AMEX and lose 1-0 to a strong Brighton side.

We end the season in a solid 5th place, hoped to be second but you can't get everything your way. We now head into the dreaded play-offs.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

This lad Celso Borges, gets the player of the month award for scoring 3 goals and playing brilliantly after getting off to a slow start at the club.

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Jason Lowe grabs the young player of the month award for scoring 2 goals and playing brilliantly in the first team!
Good luck in the play-offs man! Hoping for Premiership football at Ewood Park next season :P
Haha thanks Rookie, and so am I the finances really need it!
I hope to see you in Premier League next season ;) Good luck :)

I felt like quitting my job. I had failed to complete my first mission as Blackburn manager. To get promoted, I knew it was too soon for us. This loss has hardened me as a manager to do my absolute best and get this club back to where they belong in the top division. It will be hard, but I am up to the task. I lost 1-0 in both legs, we played very well but came up against a overachieving Brighton side. I hope for the best for Kenny Jackett and his Brighton team to win the playoffs otherwise his victory would of been in vain.

A new, stronger man Sam Magarry

July 1st 2015. It had been two long dark years since the depressing moment of Blackburn failing to get promoted to the play-offs. The next season had came, we still failed to gain promotion the premier league, our place of belonging. But last season was special for a reason, let us turn back the clock and show you the last season.

May 14th 2015. The day of the play-off semi-final 2nd leg, around the 60th minute

Andy Townsend: It's been a tense semi-final for Blackburn Rovers, they have been given a very good match by Sheffield Wednesday.

Martin Tyler: I have to agree Andy, Ivan Santini has been giving Blackburn a run around all day!

When suddenly, out of nowhere a sprinting Jordan Rhodes comes bolting up the field after a brilliant pass from Samuel Armenteros.

Martin Tyler: My my Andy! What a pass from Armenteros, wait a minute! OHHHHHHH YA BEAUTYYYYYYYY WHAT A HIT SON, WHAT A HIT!

The Blackburn hero Jordan Rhodes had just scored a 30 yard chipped shot against Chris Kirkland, this was the goal that sent Blackburns fans into raptures and Blackburn into the final of the play-offs.

May 25th 2015. The day of the play-off final, 90th minute

Andy Townsend: This looks like the game is about to run into extra-time unless Huddersfield or Blackburn can provide one last piece of magic to win the game!

Martin Tyler: Well, now you just said that Blackburn are on the attack but the referee looks like he is preparing to blow the whistle!

All you can hear inside Wembley Stadium is thousands of Huddersfield fans whistling, and cheering BLOW YOUR WHISTLE, BLOW YOUR WHISTLE YOU W*NKER! When all you can see is a Scotsman and a Swede running at full pace towards the Huddersfield goal, these were Jordan Rhodes and Samuel Armenteros. Rhodes take a shot at goal and the shot gets saved only for the unbelievable to happen, the rest is as followed

Martin Tyler: ARMENTEROSSSSSSSSSSSSS ON THE REBOUNNDDDDD, THEY HAVE DONE IT! BLACKBURN HAVE WON PROMOTION TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE!

It was purely magical, the ref blew the sacred whistle. An army of Blackburn fans ran onto the pitch and started to cheer, even the Blackburn chicken had returned to celebrate. I Sam Magarry, had even ran onto the pitch to celebrate with the players. This tale, would be forever be known as: " The Scotsman And The Swede "
ahahahha great :D
Congrats on your promotion!
