Very nice update Ross
Thanks Rookie means a lot !
THE RUN-IN
West Brom have Fulham, Manchester United and Sunderland to face in the Premier League, as well as having an FA cup final vs. Liverpool to play. Manchester City have Manchester United, Sunderland, Wolves and Arsenal.
After speaking to Thomas I know he wants this more than anything, his players are up for this... Reports that West Brom had signed Bernard Mendy were WRONG also... they have signed young french left back Benjamin Mendy and it will go through in the Summer after his contract expires.
The mind games have begun with Jenkins having this to say about Mancini and Man City:
Mancini has underperformed with what is at his disposal, he has won the championship twice and then this has happened, I wouldn't let that happen...
And on Mancini...
I don't like the guy.
3 - 1
4- 3
Both teams are on 66 points, with City ahead on better GD.
4-1
1-2
It was a massive win for us today, the midland derby added an extra incentive and we beat a Wolves side who have been very good this year, Destro's hat-trick was a joy to watch and he's turning into a threat from all distances with two poachers goals and one screamer. To play first today was good as it adds pressure on Man City to keep with us.
Man City lie in 5th on 66 points with two games to go, West Brom lie in 4th on 69 with two games to go.
0 - 2
3-0
It was probably the biggest game of our season, if we won against Man U it would have been totally in our hands on the last day, but now we've lost and Man City won we have to win and they have to lose or draw, or they have to lose and we can draw, it's not how I wanted it but it's the way it's gone.- Thomas Jenkins
In other news West Brom have lifted the FA Cup under Jenkins! 1-1 in normal time meant it went all the way to Extra Time and then Penalties! 4-3 to West Brom with Royston Drenthe scoring the winning spot kick, West Brom dominated possession and got their rewards for a fine season. I'll have a full review of his squad and an exclusive interview with Jenkins after the season ends.

WEST BROM QUALIFY FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
4 - 0
0 - 1
Thomas, this interview will be viewed by millions on the web and millions right now on TV, just can you describe what you're feeling??
I can't put it into words, I always knew my beloved Arsenal would do us a favour! *laughs* The boys did amazing today and I know they wanted it even more than me I think!
And what about Eduardo's contribution? a hat-trick on his last game for the club, his goal in the FA Cup Final too he's done well in the big games hasn't he? He's out of contract in the Summer too... will you make a move for him?
He was amazing this year, great to have around the club and the others learnt from him. No I won't be adding him to the squad next year, that will be the end of his time at the club.
And any signings you are looking for now? where are you looking to strengthen?
A right back I'd like, and another striker. A creative midfielder maybe. No-one apart from Mendy is confirmed and it depends on my budget too.
West Brom in the CL! Nice going Thomas! It's a great story and I just want more of it! I hope that your chairman gives you a nice 20 million for transfers. Tip: My chairman at Norwich wanted out for some reason.

Tom, nice to see you!
And you! how have you been -
No name remember ha ha, Good thank you, I assume you have been! Congratulations first of all
Thank you.
This interview will be recorded and transcribed for my column and my blog mate, that's okay yep?
Of course.
We all know you're pleased with the season and the successes that have come Tom but who are your 3 key players? Who has stood out this year?
I'd say Eduardo, he has to be number 1, Jonas Olsson as number 2, he got into the team of the year at 31 years of age, not the subs either, starting XI. Number 3 I'd say it would be a tie, Clyne, Neuton, Weiss and Destro all did well... actually Mulumbu, he is a firefighter, putting out the danger all over the pitch. He did really well.
There was a problem with British players in the squad this season, having to register youth players to fill spaces needed, are you leaning towards British players this Summer?
Yeah In the Europa League we had a bit of a problem... We are looking at a few British players, two English players actually, Central midfielders. Two strikers I've got my eyes on aren't British, one Italian and one Argentinian... That's all you're getting !
What about players out?
Reid's contract will not be renewed, but apart from that I'm not too sure yet... I've got a few people who I think may need to go.
Any news on your budget?
yeah, 19m of transfer funds, and about 65k of wage budget, when Reid goes it'll be about 80k... The club is financially very very stable, we are clear of all debts and the youth facilities are being upgraded which is a massive plus.
It seems like a bit of an 'Arsenal' project going on here Tom
You could say that, we just need to bring the players through now as none of my youth team are good enough. Fact. The stability is important to me, and last year when we had the shoestring budget it was hard, but we worked around it and now it's worked out very well.

Pre-season Musings
Pre-seasons tour of Germany is going to be all about testing ourselves, Hannover, Leverkusen and Dortmund will be challenging and the squad will rotated to the full. The strikers will be looked at closely, Benzia although 19 I think can be a regular in this team this year... Kadlec may not show enough to be kept.
After the games early on I will put the team on a 3 week intense training course of fitness (1 week) Ball Control (1 week) and Attacking play (1 week). The team didn't score enough goals last year, my defence performed well enough for me to trust them at this moment in time, things can change however. I've just dismissed speculation that Destro is going to Chelsea for 10m... I have to keep him, he's vital this year.
Midfield-wise I need new playmaker Younes Belhanda to step up and be my creative hub. Adryan will have a massive part to play too. With Dorrans gone to Southampton Adryan will step up. Mulumbu and Yacob are important and without Coquelin there in midfield this year I may need another DM. Wellington Nem, Drenthe, Weiss and new signing Felix Klaus have to stay fit.
My defence has been strengthened by the signings of Benjamin Mendy and Luke Shaw, they'll be trained at right back too so they can offer cover, Mendy will be loaned out. Centre backs will be key as usual.
.......
Who will be walking past the sign next season?
Tom and I have spoke about signings, and the anonymous writer can reveal that Jenkins has signed:
Younes Belhanda
Luke Shaw
Yassine Benzia
Felix Kraus
Graham Dorrans has left the club for Southampton and reports of either RVP or Javier Hernandez coming in on loan mean that Vaclav Kadlec could be heading for the exit after failing to improve enough to break into the first team like Jenkins had hoped. Jenkins also told me that he failed in a bid to bring Brazilian Willian in on loan after he decided to join PSG.
Great signings, I hope they really boost the club!

Great signings, I hope they really boost the club!
Cheers Rookie! I've signed Javier Hernandez and Javi Garcia too!! Butland as a backup GK but let Kadlec go!
The trip to Germany was helpful in many ways, I was able to see a number of different players and was able to see how my squad reacted to two (main) different situations:
Situation #1. Holding a lead,
We were 2-1 up vs. Hannover and Leverkusen and managed to throw it away and we were 2-0 up vs. Dortmund and threw it away, the lack of a back up right back worries me and my attempts to prize Kieron Trippier away from Burnley have been thwarted. Lorenzo Di Silvestri is coming in on loan however.
Situation #2. Decisions in the final 3rd,
We're getting better, two goals every game is what I'm ideally looking for, long may it continue.
A 4-2 win over Dunfermline followed but then a 3-1 shock loss to Sheffield United, we chopped and changed a lot and the players have been on their fitness week this week but it's still a bit worrying... defensive week next week is a must with Real Madrid in the 'West Brom Trophy'
Fantastic news as Javier Hernandez and Javi Garcia both come in on loan and Jack Butland signs terms with the club also on a 4 year deal. All will feature, the two loanees probably more than Butland. It's sad to see Vaclav Kadlec go but I didn't think he'd fit into my plans this year and 6.5m for him was more than enough to twist my arm.
The first ball out of the hat is Lokomotiv Moscow and they will play... Hannover.
I'd have liked that match.
The next name is... Italian Giants AC Milan! and they will play...
West Brom.
Fuck. I walked straight out of the room, I rang Terry, I was petrified.
Terry we've got AC fucking Milan!
Woah Woah calm down Tom I didn't catch a word of that
AC MILAN TERRY! probably the hardest draw!
Boss we've come along way, they haven't been the force they've been in recent years, get the lads focused for the Community shield and then we'll focus on the Champions League.
Okay.
When I took charge at AC Milan I never ever imagined that I'd get West Brom into the Champions League, I dreamed about it yes, but never did I think it could come true, and it has. I'm over the moon. We went away to AC Milan and beat them 5-3, and then the return leg we beat them 4-0. Hernandez bagged a brace in the second leg at home and I am fully confident of all my strikers ability to perform this season now, Yassine Benzia scored twice against West Ham in the game sandwiched by the Champions League Qualifiers too.
Things look bright early on, Manchester United seem likely to run away with it after scoring 9 in their first two league games and conceding none... with Pep Guardiola at the helm anything may now be possible for them as they look to build on the Premier League win of last season. I hope we can challenge them soon.
My Champions League draw was probably as tough as it could have got,
Real Madrid
Inter
Shakhtar but anything can happen and I'm targetting a 3rd place finish really, qualify for the Europa League and put up a fight in that. The revenue from the Champions League will be immense and the main goal for the season is to qualify again. We need to be consistent.
