i love genie, have been using it (and contributing when i remember!) since 2006. this year's is different of course, it is in-game not based on saves.

however, i'm a little nervous now. i had genie, fm AND steam all crash on me the other day and the only thing i was doing differently, i think, was using genie.

is it only me? am i being over-cautious? i cld go out and use fmrte but i prefer the interface with genie, have always loved it, and now that i've re-installed fm, steam etc after 5 fraught and hectic days i want my genie back. but i'm scared!!.....
This is very unusual indeed. However, I believe this to be a chan effect of crashes which started with, causing FM to crash, which also caused Genie Scout to crash. I could be wrong but that sounds the most likely.

thanks. as i said, genie is a large part of my enjoyment of fm so i'd really love to re-install it but i had to completely wipe my operating system after what happened last time... and as i was somewhere without wifi i couldnt get steam, so couldnt download the game, etc etc it was hell for 5 days!
Using GS absolutely can't cause Steam or FM to crash. It doesn't modify any of your data, it only reads data from your memory.
