How about trying a Blue Square Bet North or South Club?, Maybe be even lower league than Blue Square Bet?. I'm a Manchester United fan, but usually pick a club in lower leagues to climb league pyramid?. I usually pick Warrington Town or Runcorn Linnets, Warrington because it a rugby league town or more than football town like Wigan with quite high population also close to a lot of Big North West league clubs, so you pick up good youngsters from them?. And Runcorn Linnets because of it is reformed club from Runcorn F.C. (Runcorn FC Halton) who used to be a very successful non-league club in eight's (1980's), they also have high population. Also I used to pick Kettering Town or Rushden & Diamonds in the earlier FM game series (ie Football Manager 2010,2011,2012) because I live in Northamptonshire.
